i think it will, as i said in an earlier post, i don't think they'll "weaken" their team in anyway but at the same time won't feel the need to gamble on players with risks, if there is any doubt over silva and aguero i think one or both will be held back, if they are struggling to break villa down then they can still call upon both.

But their situation hasn't really changed despite the Liverpool result - they needed to win both remaining games and still do.

It has a bit. They can now afford to draw one.

They can but, as I said above, they'll be going for the win in both games. Accepting a draw on Wednesday night would be a dangerous tactic.

Last week I predicted Liverpool would be pushing on against Newcastle to score as many as they could, even if there's no chance of them winning the title on GD. They were already doing that last night against Palace.

I used my wildcard this week and its been a bit of a disaster so far.

    31 points, dropped from 210k to 260k.

Still have ten to play and I've passed my total from last season (2130) so its not all bad.

ah I just think they will field their best 11 available but may not take risks on players (aguero, silva) if they're not 100%.
I could be wrong. with teams like villa, west ham, if you get a goal or two up it becomes a walk in the park but if they hold out for an hour they become very tough to break down so maybe they will start aguero and try get a couple up early and then take him off.

    .

Nope, you said they needed to win both games, they dont. Will they play for a win in both? Yes, madness to do otherwise. But it might make a difference to team selection, they probly will feel they can beat Villa without Kun so unfortunately can only see him on the bench at best for tomorrow night and they might need to be behind for him to get much more than 15 mins.

We shall see. The draw thing becomes a bit more relevant if the score is tight late on during the match

City will go for the throat early doors, no doubt about it

Essentially my season is hinging on Rooney not coming on tonight. That will mean Dzeko gets the captain's armband and Shaw comes off the bench with 6 points too.

There's 30 points separating the Top 4 in my work league (I'm forth), and I'm confident I can overturn it this week with 9 left to play!

I still don't think it will. Yes, they only need 4 points now but they'll still be aiming to win both games and that was the point I was aiming at. In that regard, their stance hasn't changed re needing two wins. Perhaps I didn't get that across clearly.

Negredo and Jovetic are due gametime so my own feeling is that Aguero will probably only get a half hour.

No more than last season, what this last few weeks is showing is that to be comfortable in leagues you need to have a decent lead coming into the last few weeks because anything can happen. One rival has cut my lead by 20 points from 60 something to 40 something. He still has Wickham to play as well.

I hope Rooney doesnt play tonight. No one in my league has more than 2 points coming off the bench.

One lad has Barkley and another has Sturridge as first sub but Ramsey's absence means they are already coming on for them.

My only concern tonight is that the lad in fourth (I'm now in the money in third) has Mata as captain.

Aguero is out as well..Pellegrini giving a presser now I think.

This is bad. Can my opponent gain 30 points via captain Yaya and Dzeko? Let's find out. (They're his differentials!)

Aguero out will more than likely mean the end of my season. Is it confirmed yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,242 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Confirmed now. Pellegrini: "Aguero has not recovered 100 per cent from his groin injury. He is not in the squad list."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,141 ✭✭✭Santi101

    Aguero is such a crock.

Ok this could be good. Just need mata to get a reasonable score along with Yaya and it's on......

    Augerio back, injures himself,

    Augerio back, injures himself,

Augerio back, people buy and captain him. Augerio injuries himself.

    Zero pity.

Aguero on the season 14/15 blacklist, far top injury prone especially with a WC as well on the summer.

Defo a chance of him not starting alright. At this stage I'll take any kind of appeared points etc ! Every doubled point matters !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

This week is wonderfully disastrous. At this stage, all I can do is laugh. Everything has gone spectacularly wrong. I've lead my private league since gameweek 2 and game into this week with a 62 point advantage. That advantage is down to 30 points and he's fully likely to gain back at least another 20 again this week is over.

    Spectacular. :pac:

Wickham can go ahead an injure himself now. Even a 2 pointer is a killer at this stage. F**king Aguero.

Wasn't wickham subbed at half time on Saturday with an ongoing injury complaint ?

    is Yaya fit?

no Aguero has flucked me :(
no Rooney just adds salt into the wounds

Subbed at the 65th minute. He has an ongoing complaint but I don't think it'll stop him featuring.

I don't mind that much about Aguero because my rival has him captained too but Rooney is a killer blow. He was my differential and I'm just waiting now for RVP to run amuck.

The other killer is that I had my transfer planned for this weekend and didn't want to take a hit. I'm now down Bardsley (dropped), Chester (injured) and possibly Aguero and Rooney, plus Mata is not sure of a place.

Edit: oh, and I forgot Ramsey could be a doubt too.

    What's wrong with Rooney?

Why is he doing this to me?

I'm slipping down the rankings faster than a stripper on a pole.

might just close my account and open again when 14/15 fixtures are announced.....

crap bench to go with ramsey, rooney and aguero - you couldnt pick a more probable selection of sick notes to fill your team with so no sympathy for myself!!!
