This is getting out of control, people can't even enjoy a relaxing bank holiday weekend without someone being shot dead in broad daylight in their housing estate.
I know. Can't move for all the shootings!

I had to fashion a bullet proof suit out of kitchenware just to go down to the off-licence last night.

Great argument for legalisation of drugs. Well done.

Like legalising cigarettes will stop the illegal ones from being sold?

    He's 100% correct.

Like blaming tax payers for everything the government does wrong.

I don't condone drug users, but you can't blame them for gangsters shooting each other! The gangs could easily sell drugs and not kill each other, but they get greedy and are stupid
If it wasn't drugs, it would be them fighting/killing over extortion or something

It is tax payers who vote for people like Eamon Gilmore who once supported Stalin and Kim il Sung of North Korea.

    Not stop, hugely reduce though.

There are cigarettes sold illegally, being legal doesn't mean there cannot be an illegal trade.

I meant about things being much wise during the 2000s. Murders are way down

You mentioned legalising cigarettes, inferring that they are illegal.

Prohibition doesn't work. It just makes criminals of users and millionaires of dealers.

Should murder be legalised, would it help reduce the murder rate and have less criminals?

Probably less money for the criminals given what happened with the economy.

No. That is a stupid idea.

If people want to take drugs then they are hurting nobody but themselves.

Really, so they deal in illegal drugs and such for what exactly?

The money comes from the drug users, who do not want to accept they are funding these killings.

I agree. I know a lot of people who criticise big corporations regarding poor working conditions in Asia & child labour (etc..) but continue to purchase drugs without caring where they come from. Child labour is widely used in the Cannabis industry, even in the West due to child trafficking.

While I'm all for legalizing drugs (and won't use them personally until i know where they're coming from) so many hippies buy fair-trade this & that while buying drugs, which is hypocritical on so many levels!!! I know someone who won't even buy coca cola products (in fairness I try to avoid them myself do to alleged involvement in assassinations of Worker's Union leaders in South America) but he'll buy loads of drugs regardless of what's in the news. Selective "awareness" I call it.

Jesus. This is possibly the worst logical analogy I've ever seen.

The same logic can be applied to conflict minerals and oil. They fund wars in third world countries that make what happens in Dublin gangland look like childs play.

Coffee, tea, sugar, clothing, footwear, Coca Cola... lots of popular products have very unethical origins.

But they very easily can if they are not responsible, as the majority of drug users aren't.

Tell that to the family of a junkie

Apart from their own families(have a chat to an addicts family), the people they rob off to finance their drug use, the people injured by their discarded needles or the ones they use to rob with, the people they infect through their deteriorating health. Yeah, grand, they hurt no-one but themselves.

i dont know any irresponsible smokers. im in my mid 30's and like the large majority of my friends, i smoke and lead a normal life.

also, considering another friend of ours grows cabbage and sells to us, no criminal gangs are profiting from our exploits. there's enough just to go around a handful of people every few months.

not everyone that smokes is a chavy public nuisance buying from a local scummy 'drug dealer'.

This is exactly like this Adams fiasco. If you didn't want to have to check yourself into Antrim Barracks before an election, you shouldn't have dabbled in murdering people for a few decades.

Live by the sawn-off shot gun, die by the sawn-off shot gun.

If you have evidence Mr Adams was involved in any murders then I suggest you go to An Garda Siochana or the PSNI with whatever proof you have. I will be passing on this libelous comment to Sinn Fein and will be reporting it on here.

Btw I always have and always will support independent candidates so it not out of any loyalty to Sinn Fein. Prove that Mr Adams is guilty.
