"Leaving on a Jet Plane"

Oh Harry, that made me laugh out loud....:o

Scooby Dooby Doo, be dooby dooby ... :D
Sinatra ad-libbed the "Dooby dooby doo" closing scat. Iwao Takamoto, the animator who created the cartoon dog Scooby-Doo, said that he got the inspiration to name his character from Sinatra's ad-lib.

It's sad to think the singers from Badfinger wrote 'Without You' for Harry Nilsson ... they were all talented troubled souls RIP

I'm sorry, but this Beatles programme is awful...something cold and soul-less about the way Corporate America take the Beatles name and make this moose of a tv special...all these sell-outs like Alicia Keys should be ashamed of themselves, no matter how good the performances.

    /rant

    Doris Day time!

    Ads? On Beebrock night!? Boooo!!

Meanwhile, the camera keeps flicking to (mostly pretty) people I don't know. Current singers and stuff, I guess.

I'm on a mission to help ITV, I started a thread on the Tommy Cooper biopic last week, and now I plugged their show here.

Simon Cowell and Corrie can't do it all alone :D

I think Paul is happy now.

Oh, I'm obsessed with the man. If he wants to do a big corporate grammy night thing on ITV then he has earned it.

A sample brilliant Paul solo song, much underrated

    I liked Doris Day myself....

I wonder if she knew Rock Hudson was gay every time he kissed her in all the films they made....

    The things I think about......

Jesus, my blood pressure is at Christy Moore levels watching this.

Need to go outside for some air.

In fairness, the film Give my regards to Broad Street (from which no more lonely nights was taken) was an awful indulgent pile of poo, but the lead song was ace.
