I'm perfectly happy with seven; Cahill, Ramsey, Eriksen and Suarez being the others. They could quite likely outscore their counterparts from Villa, Hull, W Brom and Sunderland.
I've 6 or 7 if I play Chester ahead of Cahill or eriksen. I won't be doing that so 6 will do.
I could take a hit to get Boruc out but again probably won't.
I have the big 2 from united Zab and big 2 from city and Alonso Sunderland .
Happy to go with that. No hit will leave me at least 4 ahead of a lot of my rivals .....
2 united is plenty going into 38 too. Want to avid any more hits

So I read some where on the transfer thread that some people have 8/9/10 players, theres also mad debate on will I wont I bring in Yaya/Ramsey/Rooney/random Arsenal/Chelsea player.

Me currently on 6 players, NOT bringing in Yaya, considering Rooney if I can, or some other DGW player that does not Man City/Utd.

On the other hand, really hope the Toffees can do one over City and put the title back in our hands.

    So far we have....

    Mannone x2

    Evra x2--Zabaleta x2--Coleman
    Nasri x2--Lallana--Eriksen--Mata x2(c)--Ramsey
    Dzeko x2--Suárez

    Boruc--Lukaku--Ward--Olsson

You have to get rid of Coleman, would that allow you to get rooney in for Lukaku? If not ditch Lallana for a cheapie, you'd be silly to have Lukaku sitting on your bench and no Rooney with a very tasty DGW and a decent enough week 38 also.

Yeah, to be honest Im not that fussed on the DGW prospects of Sunderland, Villa or Hull, the only possible temptation for me is Amalfitano of WBA, but I'd have to take a hit and play him ahead of Ramsey or Erisken.

I have 7 DGW players with 6 Manchester and Wes Brown from Sunderland. And even at that its questionable whether to play Brown (Man U away, WBA home) ahead of Kos (WBA home) or Azpil (Norwich Home).

At the minute I have it as

    De Gea,
    Kos, Zab, Brown
    Ramsey, Eriksen, Yaya, Mata,
    Suarez, Rooney, Aguero

    Azpil, Distin, Noone, Speroni

Suppose I could do 433 and bench Erisken, Ramsey will be playing for sure.

Don't really think a hit for Amalfitano makes sense at all.....

As above from the other thread I dont see the rush to get DGW players from the likes of Hull and Villa given the fixtures they have.

However I think 3 City and 3 United are fairly vital. Even the sunderland defence I can take or leave, can't see them getting a clean sheet in either game while Arsenal and Chelsea have great clean sheet chances.

Am I the only one who has a bit of love for Wickham?

Has scored against City and Chelsea recently, confidence never been higher, playing for a team that Gus Poyet has got fired up and in games that Sunderland must get something out of if they're to stay up...

Would like him but Suarez Rooney Aguero is too nice a combination.

I have 5.0m to spend on a DGW defender, would prefer Utd but haven't a clue who will start both games, could get Rio / Smalling / Evans, any Utd fans tell me who is the most likely to play both games?

Rio will 100% not start both. No way.
Vidic evra probably will. Jones at least one
    Rafael may be back .
Smalling Evans one each ......at best

Regarding Yaya's fitness, although its not in too much doubt here's what Pelegrini said as quoted on a couple of sites since the Palace game....
"He was very important in both goals," said the Chilean. "Yaya only worked with the team the last two days - that's why he didn't play more than 60 minutes, but he's a very important player for us.
"The most important thing is that we don't just depend on just one player. We've had a lot of injuries, with Yaya and Sergio Aguero.
"We have a squad and in every game I try to choose the best players that we have fit for that moment.
"Having Yaya and having Sergio Aguero will always be very important.
"He (Toure) is a top player and in 10 days that he was injured, he didn't lose too much in his football condition.
"He just played 60 minutes because he was very tired, but he is a very important player for us."

I'll decide on Fri/Sat about Yaya. I can get him in easily at a -4 and it doesn't change my plans in any way. Simply a question of whether he is likely to score 4+ points more than Nasri. If they both play 90 minutes, the answer is yes. But my rival has Nasri and I'm unsure if I want to risk swapping for Yaya only for him to be rested in one of the games, and then Nasri ends up scoring again. We'll see.

Really can't see Yaya being rested now that they're back in with a great chance of the league. Should play all of Everton game and if they're winning well after 60 against Villa then he might get taken off then.

Just 5 players for me. I could make it 6 by playing El Ahmadi but I'm not gonna do that. Would like to bring in a United defender but I'm yet to convince myself that they'll outscore Azpilicueta's 2 games in their 3 games by more than 4 points.

    Have 7 DGW's - but possible only 6

    De Gea
    Demichelis, Dummett, Bruce
    Mata, Eriksen, Ramsey, Yaya
    Agüero, Podolski, Rooney

If Bruce doesn't play I have Coleman on bench.
Newcastle might be shocking at the back, but other defender is stones and chance of Everton keeping clean sheet is very low, so Dummett plays

With no Silva now he will be bombing forward far more as an attacking threat I think. Didn't see motd2 yet but guessing that's what he was at v Palace.

Mr Prodston, as an anonymous online acquaintance of some 9 months now, I feel compelled to urge you to just buy him, I don't know if I can bear to watch what could unfold. ;)

Contemplating a 12 point hit to bring Yaya into me team for the DGW. Already took a 4 point hit to Get Rooney in, id need to do straight swap of Gerard & Nasri OUT for Yaya and Sterling IN (could always put a DGW player in instead of Sterling either)

Is this actually as mad as it i think it is! I've been quite good with regards hits this season! Only ever 4 points bar once when i took 8 before xmas. 12 seems like madness though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,131 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

Fella I am up against has 2 Arsenal and 2 Chelsea defenders. Could be on for 4 cleanies which seriously worries me. I have Kos and will defo get in a Chelsea defender as I got rid of JT last week. Will also wait and see about Nasri
    > Yaya

Took a -12 for this coming dgw. Can't win my cash league now so decided I may as well have a bit of fun before the season winds up.

This is my team for the gameweek:

    Speroni
    --- Zab - Chester - Alonso
    Mata - Yaya - Ramsey - Amalfitano
    -- Rooney - Suarez - Aguero

8 DGWers, -12 to start, bring it on!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 387 ✭✭El festino

Don't have Yaya or Mata currently. 8 point hit worth it to bring in both or 4 for one of them?

Midfield is currently Lallana, Nasri, Eriksen and Ramsey.

Finally letting Coleman go after 36 weeks of loyal service, only player I'd kept since the start.

can get yaya in for silva for my FT that leaves me with.
    Mannone
    Alonso stones ward
    yaya mata eriksen ramsey
    suarez rooney aguero.

6 dgws with no hits. My defence is poor mainly because bardsley has lost his place which was part of my 3 sunderland defenders strategy. I dont have enough money for a utd/city defender for a 4 pt hit.
    My options are
1 Stick with 6 dgw players and no hits
2 sell lallana for nasri(-4) and play nasri over eriksen
3 get a defender in for a -4 that costs less than 5.2 million( what id do for a clichy injury to guarantee kolarov gametime)
    Anyone any opinions?

    Contemplating a -12

    Coleman - Vidic
    Nasri - Toure
    Bony- Rooney
    Mata- amalfinto

Think my nearest opponent has brought in Toure/Rooney and they don't have Mata, hence the willingness to remove him (only way I can Rooney and Toure)

I just used my 2 FTs.
Gambling on man united so went for
    Lukaku --> Rooney
    Gerard --> Kagawa.
Already have Mata and will captain him.

9 DGW players, might become 10 with a -4 later, I'll wait and see

    Team is now
    Hart
    Baker, Kolorov. Azpil
    Amalfitano, Mata (c), Kagawa, Bacuna
    Rooney, Aguero, Suarez

    Puncheon, Mariappa & Coleman

    Go with option 2.

Taking a -4 which will leave me with:

    Mannone
    Zab Evra Azpi
    Yaya Mata Ramsey Eriksen
    Rooney Suarez Aguero

    Adrian - Chester, Colback, Ward

Happy with that and don't think it's worth playing Chester ahead of Azpi or Eriksen. Learnt from the last DGW that benching a good player with 1 game in order to play an average player with 2 games isn't always the best approach.

Took a 12 point hit. Nothing to play for now so hoping to go out on a high:

    Mannonex2

    Zabx2, Evrax2, Koscielny

    Matax2, Amalfitanox2, Sterling, Ramsey

    Aguerox2, Rooneyx2 (C), Suarez

    Bench: Pieters, Eriksen, Ward

Watch Pieters and Eriksen score more than any of my doubled midfielders/defenders now :pac:

    I need to play one of;

Coleman (H) to City (going for the title)

    or

Ward (H) to Pool (going for the title)

Any advice on who to drop?

Can't keep Bony and get Rooney (unless I sell Suarez)

Similarly, can't keep Mata if I want to get Toure in.

Comes down to whether or not Toure runs riot and massively outscores Nasri

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Coleman definitely, it's not close. Liverpool will score, and Ward will not. City will score but I also expect Everton to, and Coleman has a decent chance the way he gets forward. Ward could end on 0 again.

    Go with option 2.

Yeah, also think option 2 is the most appealing considering how complicated it is for you to get a Manchester defender.

Or go gambling mode and get in Wickham for Suarez and pick the defender you want. Pb being that it forces you to take a 4 pts hit for the last GW to get Suarez back.

I'm gonna try it but with my late start the only pressure I have is keeping an all green arrows record :D.
    Contemplating a 12 pts hit
    Suarez -> Rooney
    Lukaku -> Wickham
    Gerrard -> Yaya
    B. Turner -> any United def

    leaving me with
    Mannone (x2)
Demi (x2) United def (x2) Kos
Yaya (x2) Mata (x2) Ramsey Eriksen
    Rooney (x2) Aguero (x2) Wickham (x2)

Bench: Adrian, Colback (x2), Chester (x2), Ward

Could field 10 DGWers but not sure it's worth it.

Can get Suarez back for Rooney easily for the expected thrashing of Newcastle. Considering the context of the 2 clubs and assuming Liverpool won't slip at CP, it could be a record win.
