Eriksen, Suarez and Lukaku to Rooney, Yaya and Welbeck, worth an 8 point hit? would give me 8 DGW players

Would you consider Wickham/Borini over Welbeck? At least they're in form and scoring and should play near enough 90 mins both games...can't remember the last time Welbeck scored or completed a full game.

    You have gonads of steel.

Watching Yaya today and not having him was awful. He constantly looks like he could score or get an assist.

Yaya. Reportedly out for the season and in danger of missing the world cup.

Comes back 2 weeks later and scores 14 points.

Please Mr Yaya, don't hurt me no more....

    Wickham!

If I was less of a wuss, I'd get him in this week!

They're not made of steel but they're massive (which as a result, can cause a lack of blood supply to the brain from Sept - March)

i really want to get Wickham but think they defo wont score against united. afraid of not having three united players as well with two handy home games.

Welbeck wouldn't be guaranteed 90 minutes so wouldn't be too keen on him

I'm going to spend the week devising a plan to nullify Yaya. I don't care what it takes but I'll be damned if his return from the dead ruins my recovery in these last few weeks. So to anybody that'll listen I shall say this:

    *quiet descends momentarily*

Together we may stand against Yaya. He is more afraid of us than we are of him, and if we stand united then truly we cannot lose. In years to come Yaya's owners will not remember this DGW as "everyone had him". I promise memories you will hold for years and decades to come, and these stories will become part of legend in FPL circles and the wider world. This is David vs Goliath and we all know who won that. I cannot promise that we shall succeed but I stand by my convictions (stubbornness). Yaya is just one man but we are many, we are in the coding of the game. Greater than that we are the soul, the unseen heros of this tale. Sure Yaya may run rampant but where is the joy in helping a flat-track bully get stronger. I do not yet know how we can stop him but if we stand together against our foe then something magical can happen. So I say to each and every one of ye...who is with me? Will you stand by my side and fight for all that is good and noble in this game? Will you not transfer Yaya in? Will you not captain him? I will not!

    To Yaya I say No.

Yeah think I'll hold on to Nasri my self.

Yaya and Jones in for Lallana and Coleman for me.

Looking at just a -4 at worst.

Marshall and Coleman out for Mannone and Vidic

    Mannone
    Chester Vidic Zab
    Mata Ramsey Yaya Eriksen
    Rooney Suarez Aguero

8 DGW players, that should be plenty.

-4 done last night to get 8 DGW players:

    Mannone
    Demich Kos Evra
    Mata Ramsey Yaya Johnson
    Rooney Suarez Aguero

That was the easy part but picking the captain might take the week. Rooney gets the nod at the moment particularly given Agueros anonymous performance yesterday but the concern is that he pretty much dropped out of attack against Norwich after the second goal....

Did Eriksen - Yaya and Coleman - Jones to give me:

    Harper
    Azpil-Jones-Chester
    Mata-Yaya-Nasri-Ramsey
    Aguero-Rooney-Suarez

8 DGWers - have all my eggs in a one Mancunian basket!!

Will be doing Lukaku -> Wickham with my FT and then Nasri -> Yaya for my 4pt hit.

Ramsey is going to be my only player not on a DGW. Gamble gamble!

Have 3 arsenal players playing tonight, so will need to wait and see how they do before deciding anything.

    I'll definitely do:
    Gerrard out, Yaya in

    I'll fund that with either
Giroud out, one of Dzeko or Welbeck in.
    or
    Suarez out, Rooney in

But I may do all 3 transfers for a -4 hit. That would give me 8 DGWers.

I'll likely just use my FT this week so nice to see all these -4 and -8 hits! Keep them coming lads...

It's funny you should say that because alot of people who took point hits in recent weeks have been paid off quite hansomely.

Have three City players so need to figure out who to get rid of for Yaya. Kun, Dzeko or Zab.

Seems a no-brainer to me. Dzeko all the way.

Best defender outside of Manchester lads?

Money not an option, maxed on Mancs.
Have Chester and not exactly feeling the love for defenders from the other DGW'ers.

Am I missing a trick with a cheap DGW'er, if not, who appeals from outside.
Thinking maybe an Arsenal or Chelsea

Lots of people getting 10-11 DGW players...

To be honest, Arsenal and Cheslea defenders could easily out score all the non-Manchester DGW players. Will be starting Cahill this week ahead of Chester.

Is everyone really getting Yaya back in this week? :(

You mean people actually got rid of him in the first place? :P

I've taken two 8 points hits recently, and this week's seems to have paid off in terms of global ranking. I'm not saying its a bad idea for DGW37, but with my team I can't see where the benefit would be in taking a hit. DGW players in bold below:
    Mannone
    Evra--Zabaleta
    --Skrtel--Azpil
    Mata--Nasri--Ramsey
    Rooney--Aguero--Suarez

I can have 7 DGW players plus Azpil, Skrtel, Ramsey and Suarez, with no points hit. I would hope for clean sheets from my two defenders, and I'm already maxed out on United and City. No chance I would take a -4 hit to bring in a defender from one of the other 4 DGW teams, especially when I fancy City and Pool to keep clean sheets. Ramsey faces West Brom at home, and Suarez faces Palace in a must win game for Liverpool. The only possible transfer I might entertain for a hit would be Nasri to Yaya, and a lot of that depends on what my rival does (and whether Yaya is confirmed fit).

Therefore I'm more than happy if people continue to take hits as it puts me at a slight advantage going into the week, and my team is as strong as I would like it to be.

Yeah, to be honest Im not that fussed on the DGW prospects of Sunderland, Villa or Hull, the only possible temptation for me is Amalfitano of WBA, but I'd have to take a hit and play him ahead of Ramsey or Erisken.

I have 7 DGW players with 6 Manchester and Wes Brown from Sunderland. And even at that its questionable whether to play Brown (Man U away, WBA home) ahead of Kos (WBA home) or Azpil (Norwich Home).

At the minute I have it as

    De Gea,
    Kos, Zab, Brown
    Ramsey, Eriksen, Yaya, Mata,
    Suarez, Rooney, Aguero

    Azpil, Distin, Noone, Speroni

Suppose I could do 433 and bench Erisken, Ramsey will be playing for sure.

Don't really think a hit for Amalfitano makes sense at all.....

    will take a 8pts hit:

    Gerrard -» YaYa
    Eriksen -» Mata
Baines -» Chester? double up on sunderland??

    Manonne
    Zaba Azpi Chester
    Ramsey YaYa Mata Barkley
    Rooney Suarez Aguero

Evra and Jones looks like they will both go up tonight. Can't decide which of them to go for  Got burnt with Evra in the last double so more inclined to go for Jones.

Took an 8 point hit this week but I'm 50 points behind top spot in my league so I needed some more DGW players.

    Adrián

    Fonte-O'Shea-Zabaleta

    Sterling-Huddlestone-Nasri-Johnson

    Agüero-Suárez-Rooney

Which city defender should you get in?
    Kompany, Demi or Zab?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Anyones guess. Kompany probably better chance for BP's but any of the three could score.

Same here. Yaya could well score four more points than him (in fact, it's quite likely) but I need the differential. Currently in third in my league, I got nothing to lose.

I'm perfectly happy with seven; Cahill, Ramsey, Eriksen and Suarez being the others. They could quite likely outscore their counterparts from Villa, Hull, W Brom and Sunderland.

Am I the only one who has a bit of love for Wickham?

Has scored against City and Chelsea recently, confidence never been higher, playing for a team that Gus Poyet has got fired up and in games that Sunderland must get something out of if they're to stay up...
