Extremely stupid question lads, but my head is fried after the day I've had, so forgive me. Does lacquer go on before or after paint? I'm sure it's after, but I don't know why I'm doubting myself! :o

but my head is fried after the day I've had, so forgive me.

I had one of those days myself on Friday last we were moving house 22hours straight with hardly any sleep the night before to top it all off. At 3am though when I was emptying the golf for the 100th time a neighbour said to me "you must be really tired as you've left your lights on" me ah no there auto. What do you mean auto ? Then got the why doesn't my 132 octavia have them. Typical paddy spec :pac: although if you didn't know what they are you can't really miss them. One of my favourite features on the golf though before I got it I thought they'd be a pointless gimmick but I rarely have to touch the switch now and it's nice to have the car light up when you unlock it at night.

What the hell is with this crap lately. I'm seeing more and more ads pop up where every single image has a filter applied to it, making it very difficult trying to assess the condition of the cars body.

I remember my car had some filter applied to the donedeal images, it made it seem like it had some pretty shocking damage to the door. Ridiculous.

I guess it's just how most people take photos these days, it adds something to an otherwise terrible photo...(well that's what they think anyway...)

Tbh even with normal pictures a car may look in very good condition and then turn out to be a dog when you go to see it. Although I suppose whatever hope you have of seeing condition in the pictures you have none with those filters.

For sure an image doesn't tell you everything but a half decent set of images can help you weed out cars with ropy paint work, plenty of dings etc.

Best job is a video walkaround of the car tbh

Ohh don't get me started! Some little scrotes decided that firing stones would be a good lunchtime activity, in the carpark. Went out to investigate the commotion, and there were 2 stone marks in my bumper! I lost it completely with them, probably too much so. Thus when I got home I was touching up with the OEM black paint, and for the life of me couldn't remember which goes on first. Ah well, I've calmed down now :o

    Saab broken again?

    Saab broken again?

Nope, sequence of events that was the horror of today

went up for the bus at 7am, bus drove past my house, so i run after it, catch it, only for it to break down right in the spot the saab broke down, not having another bus for 4ish hours I decide to walk to newbridge train station

Get to college to find out I owe them 550 euro, apparently my grant doesn't fully cover me which even though I have not one but two letters saying you have 100% full grant/fees etc, so i dunno??

Also had a presentation today and got ripped apart from three lecturers, and various other bits that happened, the only decent thing that's happened today is actually getting the car back
