Something called mapped is using 98% of the memory in cache flush now, when I clear it I get about 10% free but it quickly drops off to 1% anyone any ideas?

CrossEPG is on the hard drive and the swap file is active. Before I changed CrossEPG this morning I had 30%+ free after a clear

How do I manually install the autovolumeadjustment plugin? In the plugin menu of my image there's hardly anything to download.only about ten things in total.no sign of anything useful

Done a google search but couldn't find any instructions

I haven't tried it but you can download AutoVolume_131010.tgz.

To install use something like 7-Zip to unzip the .tgz archive. Then drag the usr folder into the root ( / ) of your enigma2 installation using something like FileZilla. You might need to reboot the box after this.

Setting it up takes a bit of tinkering too seemingly. With your box setup to AC3 downmix. You switch to an SD channel (Mpeg) and set the Alien 2 volume just below half way, then balance the TV audio. Then in the plugin set AC3 to 30 and keep Mpeg at 100 and this keeps volume roughly the same when switching between HD and SD channels.

Neither, it does not go in a folder, it goes in the very root of the drive which is represented by just /. This is the directory at the top level of the folder tree structure

I can't seem to find any sort of balance between volume on HD and SD channels on Hyperion, even using the Volume Adjustment plugin.

Has anyone any ideas or recommendations?

Eh ? Set VolumeAdjustment to 50

When on an SD channel, your volume should be at about 50%. Then go to a HD channel and the volume will jump up to full but the volume you hear should be about level.

Anyone know how to disable the Boxs' volume button on the remote control ? That way, the box and autoadjustment will do it's thing and I can just have the TV's volume to worry about for Overall Volume Levels

It goes in systemplugins, not extensions

That's the one it's in.no sign of it in plugins on the box

Does it need to be installed by telnet first

What box do you have and what image are you using? That plugin should work on any enigma2 image. Did you open the archive up and drag the usr folder in to the root of the enigma2 directory structure? Alternatively you could copy the AutoVolume folder into the Systemplugins folder, which does the same thing, then reboot the box.

It will then (from memory) be in the System menu

Am I right in saying that it only has one coax input (probably dvb-s2)?
if so it is a non runner for me.

My supplier says available from June :D
He says there's new full range of Amiko boxes, from single to triple tuners. Being Android based opens up a whole new world for Spark. I'm excited

Only 1 lnb input? So only 1 tuner?

Is this not a step backwards?

There are several variants, this is only one and probably the first to be released to test the waters. If you look at the installation images you will see multiple tuner support

    is SPARK2 a big upgrade?

anywhere to see it in action, or is it only being released when this stb does?

all the bells & whistles and all the reason why we flash the A2 with another image seem to be already installed out-of-the-box with the A3.

I am thinking there may not be a reason to use another image if SPARK2 is up to scratch - early days but.

Spark2 is not available yet. Looks like it's a major overhaul to Spark with it being ported to Android, this is a big move away from dual boot Spark/Enigma and opens more doors with Android app support, XBMC, games etc. It's also a huge move away from SH4 architecture to Arm (Cortex 9). It's the right move that will have better support and plenty of goodies in future (think wearables, tell your watch what channel to change to :D)

    Hi Guys,

quick question, planning to connect 2tb hDD to amiko box, is it better to format it fully for linux partition - will I have access to HDD from windows computers? can I use this HDD as media storage for windows or is it better to do 2 partitions one windows second linux one? In this case will 'windows PC's have full access to Windows partition?

You could go one ext3 and Samba will allow any pc to access the whole thing

So the new alien will be like an android stick with an dvb tuner built in and a spark 2 app? the specs for the chip doesn't seem like its over powered.
