    that was the high water mark ... just before you heard all of Be Here Now. but it did have some good songs IMO ... and some awful indulgent cocaine fuelled nonsense.

    '8.15 From Manchester' theme tune was by Inspiral Carpets, I do believe.

    Their roadie in the early days was a young Mr. N. Gallagher from t'burnage way!

    It would be like Sharon Ni Bheolain running an underground Punk revival scene and record label in her spare time.

    I remember 90 Minutes Magazine running a feature on the Inspirals messing around on Oldham Athletic's Plastic Pitch, when Oldham were a good team ... lots of Magic Carpet jokes, and Andy Ritchie from Oldham.

    On mature recollection, i may have dreamt this.
