Hendrix was much better when playing with The Experience. Noel Redding was very underrated. He lived too much in Hendrix's shadow.

Have you read his autobiography? "Are You Experienced - the Inside Story.." Worth doing so.

Mention of Neil Innes and such

Didn't they do another one of these?

I read it years ago. He was swindled out of a lot of money, which I suppose was par for the course back in the 1960's.

Some lovely stuff in this show.

There are a few good (non music) shows on BBC2 this week for their 50th anniversary.

My favourite John Martyn record (and a favourite of John Creedon too) - Sweet Little Mystery.

Great programme 'Rock Family Trees', especially the Black Sabbath/ELO/Roy Wood episode.

Yes, I'd love to see a repeat run.

Even for bands you only like a little, some of those shows are great.

Such a tragic end, just when it seemed she was getting her life back on track :(

Old Grey Whistle Test really did have some of the greatest and most influential artists of all time!

    And John Otway.

They've done a nice job on this show ... not just the usual Whistle Test and Jools clips.

They had a show called Ebony for black people ...

I bet the whites didn't have a programme called Ivory, though?

I don't mind it, but I'd prefer Pump It Up, you know!

Good man, Dizzee. I like the cut of his jib.

    They should play this.

Kirsty Wark dances to Thriller at the end of Newsnight.

If Vincent Browne was like this, I would watch it more often
