If we win the next two matches is that the league won assuming City will drop points in one of the next 3 matches...
Be great to see what mourinho would say after that match

No. If we lose the last two city can afford to drop points and win the title

We could hypothetically have it won next Sunday if we beat Norwich and Chelsea and City drop points in both their games.

Of course, we'll lose both our games and will struggle to hang on to 3rd.

Assuming City win all their games we still need 10 points.

Have a feeling City will drop points in one of their games which might give us a bit more leeway but you can't be relying on that.

That was the most classless I've ever seen Mourinho

Blaming referees is pretty much standard for Mourinho though, surely the stuff with Wenger really obliterated the line and any chance of going behind it

One thing that should help us in Chelsea game is the variety of different systems we've used this season, even within games at times. Jose isn't really a 'were gonna impose our own style you and we don't care how you play' kind of manager and always seems to set up his teams to impede and neutralise the other teams strengths.

Hopefully the various different formations we've used this season and the excellence in particular of Sterling and Coutihno playing both wide and centrally (with Cout even playing CM last game) should keep Mourinho guessing and also give us the option of switching things around mid-game if things aren't working out.

It would be great to see Rodgers 'out-tactic' Mourinho, to borrow a phrase.

Sometimes I get this sense of regret that we could win a title at some stage in the future and Fergie wont be around so I can bathe in his reaction.....then I read the United thread and realise his bitterness is ingrained in 90% of the posters over there and I feel all fuzzy inside.

Second half for Chelsea was really poor today.. Not a patch on their title winning teams and Jose knows this..

Expect a win tomorrow and a win against the blues at home.. Have a feeling that Palace might be the banana skin..

    That thread is LOLtastic.

    Reached a new high.

Great result. Nice to see him show his sour emotions again in the interview. But we still have a very hard job to do. There is mounting pressure for our last 4 games. 2 changes needed. This could still go pear shaped very quickly. A win tomorrow will mean we are 1 step closer, nothing more. It's great that our competitors are folding under the pressure - that which has been expected of us to date - but the job has not changed. Ours to win..... But ours to lose as well

Great result for City. They are strong favourites for the title now.

Top 4 is a certainty if we can manage to get a point in the game tomorrow, which is unlikely as Norwich are decent at home (1 loss out of the last 6), have a new manager and are fighting for there EPL future.

Totally agree. Add to that, a noon k.o., first game of the season without Henderson in the starting lineup. Really tough assignment. A really really tough Premier League to win, this one.

There are going to be twists in this race before it's over.

But looking at both Man City and Chelsea this week, neither of them looked like they would put their bodies on the line to bring home three points. Liverpool want it more, and believe in themselves more.

There's only one team and one Manager you would want on your side in the coming weeks.

So much for the genius Mourinho taking the pressure off his players. Hope Atletico stuff them and they will be in shambles when we play them next week

Nah. Narrow defeat is what we want. Need the 2nd leg to be their biggest game of the season and chasing a 1 goal deficit will mean all their focus is on that.

Redknapp just wrote Chelsea team talk next week. Wish he'd kept it to himself for a few more weeks.

If I was Mourinho I'd be watching that in the dressing room next week before the game with us.

Where does that football pundit get off commenting on matters as they happen, live, during interviews for the show he's part of, instead of waiting a few weeks and then having a go

Fúckin Redknapp, he'll never make it in this business :pac:

No one here cares about United at this point, or their players or who they play or what your fans think of us. The Utd thread is just a joke to us here and we like a laugh.

We just aren't that interested in ye, no matter how much you think we are.

I thought Jamie went easy. Anyhow, too much focus here on Josie, no surprises with him, it's not eyebrow raising stuff.
