I know west Cork isnt a city. Its probably one of the most breath taking places I have been to( and I have seen the tallest building in the world, great wall of china, terracotta warriors, jungles). I still think west Cork is unbelievable beautiful

I've traveled a fair bit and live abroad, I was in Kerry last summer, it's a truly beautiful part of the world and could give anywhere a run for it's money.

I didn't realise what I had when I lived there, ireland is a stunning place.

I generally don't like returning to cities I've already been to unless I'm meeting people or there are other reasons for going.
I just like new experiences so once I've seen something I generally don't do it again.

Paris, Paris, Paris. My favourite place on the planet so far.

Most cities I've been I would return to though.

Same. Went back last year for a week and it had drabbened a bit from the Recession. Hopefully that'll pass. Still love Paris tho, it's like London or New York, if you're bored in any of them, you're doing it wrong.

Bangkok - I didn't take to it the first time due to culture shock/heat shock but having returned a month later I'm glad it got a second chance
    Luang Prabang

I can't wait to visit many more too

Best make it soon. I have a sinking feeling it won't be around for very much longer.

New York - It was everything I hoped it would be and more. I felt genuinely sad to leave. The people were really friendly too you couldn't open a map but someone was offering you help.

London - I love how much there is to do in London and I love that so many of the museums are free.

I lived in London for 5 years and it is an amazing city. For such a big city it is remarkably green. It really is a land of opportunity and no matter what field you work in, there are places there that you can excel in, if you are willing to work hard.

Great town to party in too. Would go back if the chance arose.

Often, friends and I would kick around ideas of things to do at the weekend. You name it and it could be done. In fairness, we never did much outside the normal things but we loved knowing they were there if we wanted too. :D

I've been to quite a few cities in the world, but I'm more of a little Irelander, and our miserable climate suits me down to the ground. So there's nowhere I found that great, that I'd really bother going back to

    .....except Montpellier. Montpellier is stunning

Most cities ive visited I would not be bothered returning to but some favourites would be -

    Monte Carlo
    Buenos Aires
    Vancouver
    Sydney

Paris - adored the place. Beautiful city and I only met one rude person there. If you make an effort to speak their language they tend to be quite pleasant, or so I found anyway.

New York - just an amazing city.

London - even though I've been there a good few times I still love it. There's always something to do or see. It's definitely one of my favourite cities.

I was surprised to see Toronto get a mention on the "no" thread: been there twice, intend to go back. If you like New York (another one), you should like Toronto too.

I also had good experiences in Nice and Cannes in the south of France, fully intend to back there.

Turku in Finland. Read stuff about it in some old '80s novel. Have been to the city a few times and never knew about the old town there - some beautiful and interesting buildings there. And the people are really friendly in the city. Would kill for a pint of Karhu IV now :)
