    Last years money table

    10171292_10152350447504138_5397828317822221522_n.jpg

So winners prize plus tv money plus Prem League money of £33 Plus CL Qualification

What is CL Qualification worth ? £30

So like Mickalus said around £100m

The winners this year get far more due to the new TV deal. We will be looking at 90-100m I think depending on where we finish

    Good article on Hendo here:

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/apr/17/jordan-henderson-liverpool-suspended?CMP=twt_gu

Only missed 22 minutes the whole season, when we were 5-1 up against Norwich!

Ah you should have bought him a jersey and put it on him and told him your a Liverpool fan . I wasn't given a choice growing up and I'm glad I wasn't .

Ive bought him plenty of jerseys, shin guards, bags, etc... His mam supports Chelsea though, so there was competition.

Thats it the papers definatley read this thread.
Its been said before but what a turn around in the fortunes of Jordan Henderson. From a point where he could have left as make-weight in the Dempsey deal to now we are dreading playing 3 games without him
    :pac:

Yep 90-100+ m in PL Prize money and TV money, CL money goes up too with the new TV deals there.

Now whether it gets re-invested or not is the big thing.

Suppose it's not too bad having a small squad when you have super freaks like Suarez and Henderson who never miss a game.

    strange but true picture
Wasnt the year liverpool win the champions league hailed as a sort of spooky coincidence or "destiny" as the last time they had won the european cup, a new pope was elected, there was a royal wedding/prince charles got married and another thing or two, all that happened again in 2005? I remember hearing about that.

I had €1 on Fernandinho to score first and Sunderland win 2-1 last night. I f**king hate Mannone. Still had a smile on my face after points dropped by city but it would have been so much sweeter with €551 in my pocket

Had a tenner double on Palace & Sunderland to win last night, Was worth €1455, I didn't mind at the start when city leveled up but when i saw how it went in i was sick...

For 2012/13 Utd got a prize of £15m odd for winning plus about the same in tv rights.

Plus champions league qualification ( advertising etc)

    Prob around £50-60m ?

The group stage of the CL is worth roughly £10-15m. That doesn't include gate receipts or advertising etc. the actual amount is dependent upon tv figures and the number of clubs from that country in the competition. So if arsenal/everton got knocked out in the qualifiers, we'd get more in the group stage.

I think the winners of the CL get around £35m in total, but again that can vary slightly. For example, Juve got more, either last year or the year before, than the winners. That was down to tv figures and the lack of Italian sides in the latter stages.

A run to the last 16 next season would probably see us make something in the region of £20m

People have to bear in mind that because the money is spread around a lot we wont get that much extra for winning it, other clubs will get extra TV money as well.

With the stadium to get financed the extra TV and CL money probably isn't going to mean that much to us as regards signings. With maybe Reina, Johnson and one of Agger/Skrtel going maybe something like £30 Million net spending would seem realistic.

I don't see any way that Johnson will go, he's been excellent since he came back, and has 3 assists in the last 6 games (I think).

Aside from that, we have worked wonders with the wage bill, and even if we don't win it, we HAVE to invest properly to build on the progress. I can't see any way we wouldn't spend a significant amount, even if only on 3 players...

Right lads Norwich are going to put up a brick wall in the goal and line up and try to stop us knocking it down.

So turn around and see my model of that. Let train on how to stop them doing that.

Well we're predicting the future, I'm not infallible in that score!

Johnson definitely has stepped up since he came back, probably our worst performing first teamer before that. Say we keep him, maybe £15 Million from Reina and Agger/Skrtel and spend about £40/45 Million should keep us right. I can see one of Aspas/Borini going as well.

Wages are important as well, I posted a link back in January hinting at how our wages levels would be under pressure because of the new PL wage limits, Reina, Johnson and Agger/Skrtel going would give us a bit more flexibility in that regard.

    http://www.football365.com/news/21554/9269379/Suarez-Rodgers-Gives-Us-Confidence-...
Suarez paid tribute to manager Brendan Rodgers, who has done a remarkable job in his second season in charge, turning a side who finished seventh and 28 points behind league-winners Manchester United last season, into potential title winners this campaign.

"It's very important to see the manager relaxed," added Suarez.

"Brendan gives all of us confidence because he's good at his job. He believes in all of the squad and when you have that belief from your boss then it's easier to perform at your best."

The bolded part is the key for me, its all about the body language. While other managers harass fourth officials (Mourinho), butt players(Pardew), rock back and fourth on their hunkers (Wenger) and slump in their chairs (Moyes) ours projects a buddha-esque calmness throughout. When players see their manager losing their **** on the sidelines it translates onto the pitch making a bad situation worse. It must be such a boon for our players to have someone like Rodgers on the sidelines, his calmness giving them the confidence to continue to play their game rather then trying to force things because your manager is having an embolism in the dugout.
