I assume ye're watching the game on streams? Surprised Sky aren't picking it up or BT Sports.

You lads must be doing your nut in. Two sitters missed by turnip head O'**** and greed from Borini.

I'm finding it tough to think of the players to bring Liverpool to the 220m mark in sales. Is there a breakdown of these figures? Depressing how little United sell players for when you consider that includes Ronaldo presumably, provided the figures are accurate which given the nature of transfer fees reporting I'd be skeptical of.

lads don't even bother raising the tiniest hope that blunderland are going to get anything out of the game, if they get any kind of result at all I'll buy a man u jersey and get my name written on the back of it and wear it to each of liverpool's last four games in the biggest pubs I can find

    NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

Sums us up mate. We've played well in lots of games this season but just killer instinct. When your main three strikers have 4 league goals combined it says it all.

That palace game is gonna be a tough one in the second last week. Hopefully they're confirmed totally safe by that point.

True. Wickham and Borini have done well holding off defenders, and making themselves available, but actually putting the ball in the net looks to be an issue..Shame ye don't still have Sessegnon, think he'd do well running onto layoffs from guys like them.

Sunderland might lose the match, but they could win the fight. City players are taking a battering.

Rodgers now has 92 points over the last 38 games, never been done in the PL era by Liverpool. His win percentage and ppg (remember when we used to be so focused on that) is now better than Rafa's:

And seeing spending was brought up:http://basstunedtored.com/2014/04/08/its-a-rich-mans-world-2014/

I suppose we've spent a fortune in the last 5/6 years but also sold the most barring Spurs with the Bale money. Torres, Alonso, Mascherano, Kuyt, the 08/09 team was rebuilt, with Carroll and Downing prolonging the process.

Impressive to be honest! Long may it continue!

I think they'll almost definitely be safe by the time they play us (they are probably safe tonight if they win) but knowing Pulis he will still have them fired up. They have City at home before they play us though so hopefully they do some damage against them first before thinking about the beach.

I don't really understand this whole 'they're not in Europe' thing or why it's an issue. Yes, Liverpool aren't in Europe. That's because last season they were the seventh best team in England. Which just makes this season's progress all the more impressive.

    Are you serious?

Don't be so sensitive. It's been a blessing. If it means winning the league as a result, then bloody great!

You are correct, transfermarkt have sales at 192m stg over last 5 seasons:

I want Everton to win or draw. I need them with full confidence going into the City game.

In rather disturbing news, it transpires that the OH's niece is making her confirmation on May 11th. At 3pm.

    God is mocking me.

Time to hatch a devious plan.

I actually forgot about Torres and Mascherano :p

I don't think charts like this really cover the full cost too. Liverpool are 5th in that despite spending more money than United and Stoke above them which equals more agent fees, loyalty bonuses and wages, though wages only really covers Stoke. I think the biggest problem Liverpool have had pre Rodgers is the upheaval every season of bringing 5 or 6 new players into the squad. He kept a reasonably consistent squad from last season and it's paying dividends. Not moving players around constantly and chopping and changing as much as :ahem: others this season has really helped.

A friend of mine, a UTD fan absolutely hates STerling, well hate might be a bit strong but he doesn't rate him in the slightest...Don't ask!!

I was obviously bigging him up and came out with 'Personally I rate him higher than Neymar'. A bit OTT perhaps, he laughed alot, he loves Neymar!! I wouldn't swap them. I have never been a fan of Neymar and think he is highly over rated.

My mate said a very similar thing to me about the Heineken cup quarter final last week when we were thinking about booking the trip in January. Said his missus would kill him etc.

Long story short we had a great weekend in the south of France and he's still getting married. They get over it. :)
