Its hard to fathom that on the same day Liverpool remembered the people who died at Hillsborough, some idiot, pretending to be a football fan would defile a monument to a player who died tragically in Munich.
Equally disgusting are the idiots who try to use this as a reason to label all LFC fans in the same way
This has nothing to do with football and everything to do with the minds of some people who use football as a vehicle for their hate

I dunno, sometimes its nice to see the tributes and articles that get posted on the day, and clips of the ceremony, etc, as otherwise you might miss out.

I wouldn't be against closing the thread, however, but I don't think its necessary. Respect can be shown in many different ways. Its usually a quiet day on here anyway, with just the couple of Hillsbourough references from time to time.

If the majority do want it closed though, then sure. No complaints.

BBC News channel will be covering the memorial so no doubt the BBC website will have clips

Either that or a poll for an hour or so (if possible). I don't think anyone would object at all anyway if mods wanted to go ahead on the ideas of a few here and close it.

Aye aye, even an hours silence for the thread would be something. Most only check in now and then so a day might be better.
