A lovely man. The OP asked why doesn't he jack in the Priesthood and go full time in entertainment.

The Priesthood is a vocation and it takes a long time to get there, it's not some bullsh1t 9 to 5 sitting behind a computer screen waiting for the weeken gig. Some people follow and achieve their ambitions. It's not a job to him, it's what he wants to do.

You don't have to work to earn well in the priesthood - I mean, all they do is eat and drink a few times a week with the public and listen to a couple of embarrassing moments in the sacristy or the brown box.

Does anybody under 50 take priests seriously as in believe they have magic powers to turn bread and wine into actual flesh and blood of a guy who died 2000 years ago?
