2 times over the past 24 hours have I seen threads with the exact number of posts being 96 browsing the touch website. Freaky, hopefully it's a good omen.

There was a section on Radio 1 yesterday dedicated to Hillsborough, and you had the likes of Houghton and Aldridge on sharing some of their experiences. The raw emotion that they conveyed and still harbour after all these years was pretty moving.

What was even more poignant, was the story about an Evertonian taxi driver who's Liverpool mad brother was at the game. I won't get into it now, but ultimately, his brother was the last man identified after the tragedy. He had been assured numerous times prior to driving to Sheffield himself to investigate, that everyone who had died had already been reported, and that his brother was not one of the fatalities.

Happens every year when this time comes around, and this year is perhaps the most significant of all, (Certainly in my memory, having been born in 1990), but the whole thing just floored me.

Also, for the first time I heard what was then a live radio report from a BBC commentator, Peter Jones at the time. Would break even a stone heart.

Peter Jones commentary was just right, I remember listening to it having watched the match and the shocking scenes as they unfolded. My abiding memory was shock and the numbness as the death toll rose, May they rest in peace.

When I saw the above photo all I could think was the quote from that report... "And the sun shines now"

Todays game must be one of the most emotional yet exciting games ive ever experienced in my 37 yrs, with the importanceof the game itself and the 25th anniversary of our 96 fellow supporters

While today's game is huge in that Liverpool can leave it in their own hands entirely, I just noticed that Steven Gerrard is one yellow away from a two match ban which would be a disaster for Liverpool at this late stage of the season.

With Lucas coming back from injury it would be far from a disaster. We played excellent without him around Christmas.

And so starts the longest 30 minutes, that will preempt the longest 90 minutes, in recent Liverpool memory.

Hopefully Tom Werner will continue the party in a couple of hours happy with a win. Also, Linda. Well, really Linda.
