Seen a Ban Garda going nigh on 100km/h there yapping away on her phone. I love how it's one rule for some and another for the rest of us......

Ehumm, not to sound like the high horse brigade, but they are legally allowed to as part of their duties.

Oh ya I get that, but that doesn't make it any less dangerous. Wouldn't kill them to pull in. They could cause an accident just as easy as a normal motorist, although that is highly unlikely :pac:

I know it's bloody annoying but what can you do.

Love that first proper drive after completing a relatively big job on the car all by myself. I didn't go far, just a quick blast, but damn it feels good. Getting a nice sprint, and getting that perfect change from 1st to 2nd is the best! :D

I love those feelings, granted most of what I've done on mine is relatively small but none the less :D

Ah come on, lots of serious work gone into your yoke! Mine was *only* a rad change, not that big! Still a great feeling. Point me to these posts next week, when I'm pissing coolant from my expansion tank! :):pac:

I'd only consider the sump drop as serious :pac: but I'd consider a rad change fairly big, just because I've never done it :pac: But if it does happen I'll gladly point you back here :P

Pred......... I've just been for a 'drive' in the Alfa. Super handling, it's the first time I really pushed it but those bloody hazard lights are a pain as others can easily see what I'm at. I also terrorised some boy racers in a Golf TIIDDY AYE.

Much fun has been had this evening

It will learn your driving style and after a couple of weeks you won't see them atall! Mine were the same when I got it, but now they only come on during "OMG, red alert, shields up, deploy emergency parachute" moments

Is that the hazards coming on during emergency braking?

I need to get comfortable with it but I got it to dance around some turns. It's very well controlled and really inspires confidence in its abilities.

And it's great for up setting boy racers in Nenagh.

    Anyone coming to Durrow tomorrow?

I remember going to that a few times over the years it's a good day out. Some really cool cars there too. I'd have went tomorrow if I didn't have a christening to go too.

    How do you convince a sensible, 45 year old woman, who currently drives a 2006 Volvo V50 2.0D to consider a 2008 3.6 Petrol 4x4 with €1,809 tax? :D

    //edit: A Porsche Cayenne :pac:

Anyone have any remedy for this rusted wheel. I don't know what the craic is with it. It's off a 2008 transit and all the silver (I'm going to say paint) has chipped off. I think that it's going to be professionally refurbished, but I'm tempted to mess with it first.
    Sorry about the crap pic.

I'd say sandblast it or something, that's what came into my mind, theres a guy next door who sandblasts rusted fireplaces and so on so i'm guessing the same principle applies

Ya, I was going to take a load of like p10 or something, sandpaper and sand the crap out of them, old skool! And then find some silver paint and do a job on them. No matter what I do I'll make a balls of them, but I have to try!
