    You can blame the injuries or whatever for this but you'd really need to question his attitude.

    Ferguson has always said that Nani's attitude was very good. I don't see why that would have changed this season.

    Just noticed an article from the Guardian with quotes from Krooses' agent;
    "We are confronted with a variety of rumours for months but at the moment I believe that Toni plays in Bavaria until 2015 at least,"

    That backs up a quote from Rumminegge last week;
    “Toni Kroos is sure to wear Bayern Munich shirt next year.”

    So I think we can rule out any chance of it happening this Summer.

    The Mail are so full of shit that this would almost make me wonder if Giggs, Rio, Evra and Vidic are staying on for another year after all.

    Vidic - 3.5m
    Vidic's contract expires this summer, doesn't it? So we don't get anything for him.

    No. The conversation was about whether Kagawa is a good choice to play from wide in general, not just whether he was the best we had available for this particular game.

    The question of how to fit all our attacking players into one team comes up all the time theses days. Many people suggest playing Kagawa from wide. I originally asked if this game against Bayern was going to be held as proof that playing Kagawa from wide was a good idea. I think the answer to that question is a resounding "yes" - a good proportion of posters think that Kagawa was very good playing from wide against Bayern and, so presumably, will be using that as evidence as to why he should be used there in the first team going forward.

    Personally, I think playing a player like Kagawa or Mata from wide will always have problems unless you are a possession domination team like Barca or Bayern. I don't see United becoming that any time soon so I think we'd be better off with more athletic wide players and leaving Kagawa and Mata in their natural position, central.
    Bit of mis-communication on the initial debate. I was emphasizing why I believed he played well on Wednesday night but not in particular reference to where he was positioned. I have a feeling on Wednesday it was more of a roaming role even though he played on the right as he drifted inside on several occasions.

    In the long term I agree that Kagawa should play a central role with Mata and I am hoping that with a decent signing in the summer a 3 man attacking midfield would be a solid option, but we need to have more than 1 option.

    I think playing Mata & Kagawa on the wing is the 2nd choice.

    Are those Aaron Lennon rumours still floating around? That must be a wind up.

    Hes English and pops up with the odd goal/ assist a few midtable teams will bid for him. Depends on his wages though. If they are too high for midtable teams it could end in a loan until contract runs out.

    Don't see Young, Cleverley or Butters going anywhere this summer tbh.

    It's the Valencia effect,anyone who can run past Evra at speed has a chance with United no matter how sh1t they are.

    Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone, Ben Arfa, Ross Barkley and Lallana are all very likely on the Moyes Midfield Shopping List

    Don't see why Buttner would be let go. He has looked decent when given a chance. The others fair enough.

    There would be teams lining up for Young at 8m.

    Whilst I agree about the valuation is low, he is on monster wages compared to his input and thus to force him out some concessions on United's part would have to be made.

    I also remember reading that an agreement with Fiorentina was in place for Anderson to be bought for £5.5M art the end of his loan. Although I have n idea how well he is doing to deem his loan a success.

    Nani is worth £14M+ in anyone's books, although the fact he has not played this season really would be used as a bargaining tool.

    I'm merely speculating that instead of Kroos / Reus / Carvalho / Ronaldo, that the shopping list very possibly has more of a domestic flavour to it

    Thats my worry too. We keep poor players and sell the better ones. I think Buttner will stay on as cover for the LB we purchase.

    Out of those, the top line are really all players that have to leave/retire (excluding Ando)

    Not in a million years should Kagawa be sold, especially if we get new manager who moves to a 4-3-3 or the likes, Kagawa could become a star then. Young only if another winger is coming in. Buttner I already mentioned. Nani I'd like to stay.

    Clev should be the first name on the transfer list followed by Ando (who is as good as gone imo). Both are taking up squad positions in the area we are the weakest and both are clearly not even close to being good enough for UTD.

    Barkley and Lallana I wouldn't mind, but the others can remain where they are.

    15m for a 28 year old who the club wants rid of, has barely played for two years and who can't get a game at a club in crisis and in desperate need of rebuilding. Sure, sounds about right....
