Posting whilst drunk

I'd imagine it happens quite a bit around here.

What's the worst/funniest/most bizarre or embarrassing post you've ever written while under the influence? Ever had to go on a major deleting spree the next day? Started any inflammatory threads or gotten yourself a boards-wide ban? Hit on a Mod or sent a disturbing amount of PMs to a boardsie you secretly fancy?

Or is posting while drunk the only state in which you post?

**mAY or may not be drunk

Thankfully, I wouldn't be able to focus my eyes or thoughts enough to post.

I drunk post a lot in two forums.

Usually, it's non-sensical streams of letters.

A few weeks back, I exchanged about 10 pms with a boardsie too. Had absolutely no recollection of any of my posts or pms that night.

Last night, I drunk posted a picture of my bf and I on Facebook, with a soppy caption. I wanted to delete it this morning out of sheer embarrassment at being seen to have softer emotions than my usual sarcastic manner on Facebook, but he wouldn't let me.

I also drunk text people all the time. Told my boss that he's a lovely man and not at all the prick people say he is one night at like 5am.

I should never be given access to my phone when I'm under the influence.

That's the thing, I'm unusually and rather disturbingly articulate whilst drunk. In fact I often type more intelligently when I'm gee-eyed than in any other state, the only occasional giveaway being an inappropriate ;) to the wrong person

I've never posted while badly drunk before, but if my drunk-posting is anything like my drunk-talking, I'd probably just be the same as usual, except repeating myself a lot. I've gone on a fair few drunken message-board rampages in my day, including here. Facebook is worse though, at least nobody here can put a face to the shname. I've outgrown drunk-dialling or texting, thank christ. I say outgrown, it's mostly that the phone I've had for the past few years has really tiny buttons.

I'm an awful man for sending texts when I'm drunk. Get a fierce dose of the stalk on me after a rake of pints. Leave it at home these days - the phone that is.

    Drunken texts are the business.
I got one from a friend of mine I hadnt heard from in donkey's years the other night, saying simply 'on the dance floor, everyone is alone'
pISsed as a fart, no recollection of it or of being anywhere near a dance floor the next day

My sister's name is Rachel and I got a great series of texts off her boyfriend's phone of:

2.50am: some slag robbed my phone but I'll meet you at the bus tomorrow

    2.52am: I am a Rachel

3.10am: how come everyone's so tacky

9.00am: [from her own number] ok actually I left my phone at home last night see you at the bus.

She's lucky the first three didn't wake me or I'd have killed her :D

I post drunk a good bit. At least once a week. My grammar and punctuation aren't really affected when I drink.

It is great the next day when you log on, when you read what you posted the night before and realize, jaysus am I that good.

Backwardsman if you're not drunk when posting the stuff you post then you have a bit of explaining to do.

I've noticed that you tend to see the same pontificators arrive into AH at a certain hour of the night. Often wondered if they are full of gargle to be so self-righteous.

What are you, the boards clock???

The boards night watchman shining a light into the corner checking for chemical burn and man city 10

I don't really drink anymore but I'm sure I've posted here and on other sites while drunk.

I'm generally in control when drunk, a better example of this would be something like a sleeping tablet... I'd write entire emails that I'd completely forget about, crazy stuff.

No, there is a clock in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to let people know when it's time to 'check out'. Time is often the beacon of clarity when self-reflection has failed.
