    Yeah I agree.

I have heard things anecdotally about AGS. I haven't seen it myself but does anyone know how true it is if an AGS member does 3 days on they get 3 days off?

*IF* that's the case, and *if* they were required to pass an annual fitness test, I'm sure they would have plenty of opportunity to train in their own time.

As I said, not sure how true that is....even though an AGS member told me......she's a plank!
Cheers for that. It didn't sound right to me either, even though it came from a guard. It's there any instance where my above post is true?

dont know tbh i suppose if she is coming back from maternity leave or something ?? job sharing kind of thing might be ??? dont really know but its not the usual rooster

Question for the relevant people here:

What does "serving in the Defence Forces without engagement" mean exactly?

Is it that she was still on the payroll of the PDF but not expected to take part in active service?

I don't know what that means, I think they may it it mixed with with 'serving without a contract' ~ which can happen.

Typically this would happen if you can't get an appointment to complete your medical before the end of your contract date. Its usually not the fault of the individual, usually you'll be on a short term contact until your medicals and fitness tests are completed ~ you can not do your fitness test without a medical anyway.

I think this is what happened in this girls case.

Either way she was below medical/fitness standards and has lost her job over it.. This happens regular enough, contrary to popular belief public sector workers (ie defense forces at least) DO NOT have copper fastened jobs & do get the boot when we don't meet the required standard.
