Dragons den Ireland - Did anything ever take off ?

    Has any product/service from Ireland Dragons den over the last 5 years taken off ? Is is true four of the original dragons have gone bankrupt ?

    The fella who made those GAA wristband/watches in the county colours seems to be doing well. He's making watches now for some Premiership teams and has branched into iPhone covers.

    I wouldn't imagine many were successful. They offered such tiny amounts of money for really large chunks of equity in the companies. Pretty difficult to get a company off the ground when you have very little capital and very little/no equity to sell on to a real investor.

    They also only took on really novel companies to the tv stage, didn't matter if they were viable businesses. It was an entertainment show more than anything else

    I meant it was designed for entertainment much more than profiting from the companies that enter. I also never said they succeeded in that goal :P

    Karen morgan in thomastown co kilkenny got a few pound off one of them gavin i think.
    Shes still open
