nicest peanut butter

what is the nicest peanut butter to buy. bought a tub before but wasn't fierce gone on it. Although I think its a bit like whey. Tastes awful at the start but you acquire the taste for it. would eat a share of brown bread with normal butter so it would be handy to get myself to use peanut butter instead.

Any nice ways of putting peanut butter onto stuff to start you off on it?

I've recently switched to almond butter, made a delicious salad dressing using it last week, I'm sure it would work with peanut butter too!!

I buy both the smooth and crunchy versions of Lidls peanut butter.

I've been using Kelkin lately, 'tis pretty nice.

Good old Panda would be my favourite but it's fairly sweet and sugary, probably not the best option when you're trying to be healthy.

I know this isn't what you asked, but I bought hazelnut butter recently, and it's quite nice too- not as strong a taste as pnb, so maybe that would be a better swap!!

Just had to brag about this stuff. It's everywhere in Australia. Super healthy ingredients and tastes amazing. Also, there's nothing really wrong with real butter in moderation, so you don't have to replace it with PB if you don't want to. I love the taste of real butter.

As a lover of all nut butters, Kelkin Peanut Crunchy is easily the best. Irish made & very clean label (no added sugar). Most have too much sugar added & Meridian just not as nice. Kelkin is pricey though

Mmmmm peanut butter.....I can't help with brands since I'm not in Ireland any more but I'd recommend whatever has as few ingredients as possible. The one I get is just peanuts. Lots of the others have not so good stuff in them. Maybe check out a health food shop.

I'd eat it on its own by the spoonful, but I think it's great on rice cakes, crackers or ryvita, with slices of apple or banana or with frozen banana (tastes like ice cream). Last week I mixed it with vanilla protein powder, put it in an icing bag and piped out little drops which are now in the freezer. A handful of them thrown into some plain yoghurt or quark (plain, with vanilla, with carob powder) is yum.

Meridian crunchy for me.
Tesco used to sell stuff by the peanut butter company which was the shizz but can't seem to find it anymore apart from online.

Tesco own brand crunchy peanut butter. Tastes lovely and is relatively low in sugar compared to other similar brands

Meridian Crunchy Peanut Butter with a pinch of Sea Salt. It's just peanuts and a tiny bit of salt, no added oil or sugar. The little teeny bit of salt just lifts it into another realm of deliciousness.
I love it on slices of Pink Lady apple.

Can't really beat it for value (when they've the sale on you can get 2kg for 10/11 euro), but I find when it's just opened it's extremely runny, and by the time I'm at the bottom of the tub it's fairly pasty, and I'd go through about 1 tub every week or two. Tastes great though.

Stir it. The oil separates when left to sit so if you give it a quick stir it'll mix everything back together.

I got some Meridian hazelnut butter the other day, now that's runny. It is however delicious.

Makes feck all of a difference. Even after a tonne of stirring it's still far runnier than any of the supermarket versions I've bought. It makes eating the stuff off of rice cakes a fairly messy affair.

the myprotein tubs are lovely and 100% peanut, skins and all. does require some elbow grease to stir it up once in a while and it's a very.... dark flavoured peanut butter, but it's tasty as balls.

I eat 3 tablespoons of pb a day. Crunchy tesco brand for me. Lovely and 1 20 or something for a tub.

I'm partial to both Kelkin for the taste on it's own, and Panda for when I'm feeling bold. I made my own once, it's very simple to do, but a bit of a pain. Very tasty though, tasted like Kelkin, plus there was only peanuts and a pinch of salt in it.

I've made walnut butter witha bit of cinnamon & coconut oil - was great on apple slices.
Doesn't look like Mayvers is available outside Oz, I was hoping it's be on iherb but it's not.

But my secret pleasure is Carte d'or vanilla and Meridan peanut butter.
