Lads, my BBC 4 is gone!? Still have 1, 2, 3 and a million regional ones! What the hell is going on??

    I have Beeb 4 HD on Astra 1 N. 3876,H,22996 or even 23000.

Looking forward to Britpop week, all next week across the Beeb.

Must say though, a tad disappointed by next Friday's offerings on BBC Four (unless Saturday has more to offer, not on the planner yet):

'Britpop at the BBC' - was hoping for the famous 'Britpop Now' programme in full (most of the seperate performances are on youtube).

Blur Live At Glastonbury - their 2009 set, not their now-legendary 1994 performance which is regarded as one the best Glasto sets in history.

It seems to be searching Astra 19.2E, whatever that might mean.

Hope it finds it, this is killing me. What am I missing??

yeah, it seems to be mainly a Radio season. A shame, they could have done more with the TV archive

Looking forward to the repeats of the original Evening Sessions with Lammy and Jo Whiley on 6music, though :)

Totally agree about Britpop Now, that should have been first choice.

    We are spoilt for choice.

The Blues Brothers is a wonderful film, much underrated.

And Sounds of the sixties has some great performances, like Hendrix just now.

Perfect! Bbc4 on the tablet, Blues Bros on the box.

F*ckin hell, Something in the air is one of my all time favourites!

I think John Belushi fans were expecting a comedy in the vein of 'Animal House' rather than a musical.

    Anyhoo, till tomorrow night folks!

    Nos da!

If I Fell is one of my favourite Beatles songs. Just for the harmonies.

Outside of Joe Cocker, I really prefer when just The Beatles sing the Beatles.

I only learnt recently (on the 'High Fidelity' Radio Programme) that Cab Calloway was a Jazz Legend and a real Musical Pioneer

Don't think good 'ol Aretha could do a whole lot wrong, really.

Singing-wise. And as for her roller skating...
