Cartell.ie or motorcheck.ie are probably as close as you'll get to what you're looking for maybe.

    Mywheels.ie still going?

Mywheels are still about, I only used them a few weeks ago.

Well I went with cartell and he's not being entirely truthful. He's claimed in the majority of the adverts that they are one owner cars. Cartell shows 6 owners for this:

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2000-fiat-seicento-nct-and-tax/6695655

So far since watching this week he's had a Focus, Punto and this Seicento. Sigh, back to watching Donedeal like a hawk.

I'm thinking about getting my steering wheel retrim'd after seeing another users e36 wheel. Something like this:

Sent an email to the crowd who do them in the UK, and I'll see what the cost is like.

Chaps, can I get your opinion on the below. For all intents and purposes it's a great ad and a car that seems to have been well looked after. The only thing that would really concern me is this work that he's done to it himself:

Alarm with keyless entry and immobiliser

Would that be a reason to run a mile?

Its just an alarm with remote locking. Nothing to worry about. As long as it has a pair of remotes and is working then its def not a reason to avoid, its a plus point.

The L plates, square front number plate (I accept that this is the way the bumper would encourage you to go, and that off centre is correct on the car but still) and aftermarket wheels would have me on guard though.

Its got an alarm with a fob, hardly any reason to run a mile.

The ad gives me the impression its very well looked after really.

Nothing wrong with Daihatsu's, check out Cuores too. Tend to be cheaper and both in 1.0 they're "quicker". :p

The mind boggles as to why people leave learner plates on a car that's for sale. That alone would be enough to put some people off a car...

Burnt out clutch, dings... Everything you're gonna find on a car that price anyway. :pac:

Initially I did think it might be a well looked after car but your points have given me food for thought. Plus, those stains on the ground just in front of the car..... I wonder is it just coincidental!

Thanks Colm but I'm being a real tight ass and trying to keep it to €1200 or lower. I really plan to only practice in my purchase, keep it for a while and then move onto something a little nicer.

I'm probably posting a little too much here so I'll keep schtum.

Yeah really annoying it's not standard! On the e39 it wasn't standard.
    Was it massively expensive??

It was €75 for mine as it was a semi-prototype and mine was the first e92 he made it for.

The one for the e90 is cheaper I think.

Interesting!!! Thanks dave, I was investigating perhaps loading a spring onto the arm that's already there, then gave up!!

Was there not gas struts on it already? My 159 has struts but they don't seem to be strong enough to lift the boot open so I'd like a change.

Yeah I had gas struts but they just assisted in opening the boot by hand. As you can see in the video, all I'm doing is pressing a button on my fob and the boot flips open.

I'd like that as there is no external handle on mine and I had grabbing it when it's dirty.

I might get the contact details from you tomorrow. Are they based in Thurles or do they travel?

I'm afraid he only makes them for BMWs at the moment. He's based in Waterford but he came to me because he never made one for the e92 before and he wanted to make sure it worked and any adjustments that needed to be made he did there and then. It's still not 100% on mine, a few tiny things need to be changed but it's 95% there.

There are 2 bump stop type thingys on the bottom of your boot lid which are supposed to pop the boot up, adjust or replace;)

Any idea if he made one for an E46 Coupe? This would be really convenient for me to be honest.
