Why do certain people dislike the jews?

Why do certain people dislike the jews?
Did they ever do anything wrong to anyone?
Why is there this automatic disliking for them?
Israel was a designated land area for them but why are people not found of them?
This is a genuine question...personally i admire the ability to endure but can't understand what specifically they did wrong that they are disliked...
Mod please don't **** this down as i am hoping for some insight

I'm sure that everyone posting on this thread will be able to distinguish between individual Jewish people and the state of Israel and there won't be any massive generalizations or petty squabbling at all.

OP is trying to make out that any pro - Palestine people are anti jewish, the majority of Irish republicans would be pro-Palestine, OP is looking to start a row and push the zionist (not jewish) agenda

I was hoping some educated people could give me some insight to it....obviously AH was a bad place to post this ....i did google it by the way but the first hit was a bit strange...so i was hoping someone provide me with some insight...instead i am just with met with comments with no information which further adds weigth to my belief that no on knows the answer to my query...

It's actually legimately hard to find a reason on the internet as to why Jews are hated so much.

They're generally hard working and no nonsense and tend to excel in their chosen areas because they're disciplined. Just like their haters could be.

The fact, that people couldn't stop slagging this ethnic group after WW2, means they'll never stop. Makes me depressed and confirms the human race never learns.

I actually think those who deny the Holocaust, cannot handle the sheer numbers of lives and suffering inflicted by man, that they go into shock and refuse to believe humans ever did something like it systemically. The refusal to believe that human nature could be so irredemably dark and evil.

Ironically, It's a lot like the survivors that couldn't handle telling the stories and people who stood by couldn't believe they let it happen.

It's like PTSD but they never went through it, cognitive dissonance.

The Romans disliked them on religious grounds. They were the first group (that the Romans encountered) to deny the existence of any other gods except their own. The Romans didn't like this because v they thought it both arrogant and dangerous. Roman policy was to let conquered people and client states keep their own beliefs.

Mainly. Like yourself,I'm not the most informed. I lived in the USA for a year and older people generations, tend to think of them as greedy and tight, and they generally don't like pleasing people. It's a stereotype and it is true in a respect. I respect them for this, they're wonderfully pragmatic. They have no opinion of themselves. Its about what you ca bring to the table.

The Irish people I knew didn't like them all that much and found them irritating, because we tend to have very laidback nature, which looks lazy to the Jewish community. and I do agree with them in that respect. Its the antithesis of Jewish culture. They could be seen as slave driver mentality, but hey look were they are, and where others aren't who want to be.

They're just more open about it, when other groups tend to believe we're all sweetness and kindness, and then behind people's back (we talk about them and stab others in the back) we do the same and in our minds; we're exactly the same deep, we know this.

You'll rarely ever a person who's that intellectually honest to admit that though

Israel was designated to them by GOD ,or so they reckon.
The West Bank and Gaza have sanctions placed on them,that means they can't get medicine or essential necessities.
Any Jewish yank can go there and build a house on Palestinian soil and be protected by one of the best equipped armies of the world.

Genie - thanks for posting that link, but it's a little em..... amateur. It references a lot of events with no back-up. I sort of glossed over the remainder of the article after the writer's statement that many of the claims about the Holocaust were fraudulent.
