I hope he alot and few more get a run out off the back of their display in the Antalya Cup, there was a good few admirable performances against strong opposition.

Agreed it's the U-21 rule he's benefitting from, one f the only good things that the SPFL has, I think it's a great rule.

Any reports on the Antalya Cup Dempsey?

That was the matches against Trabzonspor & Galatasaray back in January. Celtic played alot of kids in the final including the highly rated Calvin Miller (barely 16 years old), and Gala brought on their 1st team for the 2nd half and the kids upped their game to match a very experienced team.

That's right, I remember that now Dempsey.

    Thanks.

Final Glasgow derby of the season tomorrow and depending on what happens today in the Ross County Aberdeen game a win could see us win the title tomorrow. The way we are playing right now it is hard to see anything other then a Celtic win. Personally I would rather we were playing to win the title at Celtic Park on Saturday but we will see what happens later today first.

Aberdeen drew so we can wrap up the league tomorrow

Finding out we can win the league tomorrow & a club that is looking to challenge us wont/cant afford to pay the costs for an u20's game to be played in front of people makes me smile!

Looking to challenge you it's at least another season before we are even in the same division as you so stop talking nonsense

At least is right! But that is the aim in the long term so it isnt nonsense

Dave King was talking about matching our spending power. The papers are falling over-themselves saying that he'll spend £30m, no no £50m to bridge the gap!!

King & the scottish media should frame this quote

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

I really hope Partick Thistle can afford the cost of policing at our game tomorrow night....

Last time I looked Dave King didn't own any substantial shares in Rangers so what he says at the moment is meaningless which is what you would say to me if I tried to use something he said
Again the media can say what they like it means nothing
So really yes your point about us challenging you was nonsense
Long term oh come on your opening gambit makes it look as though we are planning to challenge you in our first season back.
I also just noticed the u20s game at your ground is also behind closed doors oh dear. And your actually trying to take the piss because our board has actually told us why things are happening for a change dear dear me.
Not like you at all mate you normally do better ;)

Why spend £30m in less than 2 seasons if the long term goal wasnt to get to where the rangers were, i.e. challenging celtic? Just because the wheels have come off in that attempt doesnt change the fact that it was the business model was geared and still is geared, because of those short term loans, to getting back to the top flight and challenging for titles. Fairly gutless from you to say that isnt the case

Your trying to spin that into positive? I suppose you have to since the reality of the situation is less appealing.

You think Celtic were going to host a home match publicly if the rangers pulled theirs? Every scumbag in Glasgow would come along for it, clearly a saftey concern in that scenario more so than a cost issue for celtic. Try not to delude yourself into thinking otherwise

OK I won't delude myself if you won't I find it strange that all of a sudden we have spent 30m trying to catch up with you when I know and you know most of that went into previous board members and present board members pockets. I know very well one of the main reasons will be cost but it will also be because there would be trouble the hatred in Glasgow is now at critical levels on both sides IMO and the first games at any competitive level will be horrible. And lets be honest we first saw trouble at these games from the GB when they set fire to seats. I really in all honesty applaud both clubs for this action because no matter what when we do meet in the top flight the Police are going to have a serious potential for rioting and violence to deal with.
Glasgow is now full of very angry young men from both sides which sickens me I saw and heard things when I was last over that makes me very concerned

The first meeting will be toxic but we all know where the pent up anger will be coming from, don't bother trying to convince me that it's a two way street. Of course we will have Celtic morons who'll be more than happy to engage with them but if were being honest we know who'll be bringing the aggression

Been a bit scrapy since, PT back in the game at the mo. Thought the early goal might have been the start of many but not so far.

Yeah scrappy stuff, hopefully we'll up our game in the 2nd half and win it in style

Great stuff since half time, nice to see Henderson get his first. Really liking Johansen from what I've seen, looks a really good player

How did Griffiths think he was onside there?!

Ambrose's decision making is baffling sometimes. I know he's a better player than he looks sometimes, but he's miles off VVD. It'll be worrying if/when VVD heads off to England that he'll be our main CB.

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 10,887 Mod ✭✭✭✭PauloMN

And VVD makes a meal of that, should have kept my mouth shut lol.

    1-3.

His poor decision making stems from poor concentration which leads to brainfarts...

VVD makes a rare mistake and punished for it. He made one last game but got away with it. He seems to be hanging around Efe too much!
