Don't know how far back we have to fall before the decision makers realise that a major blunder has been made here. I've been pro moyes here but enough is enough. I'd expect a bit of a blip for a season or so but i can't accept what im now looking at. When your looking at games against the top four teams and your hoping your not going to be too embarrassed by what you see then his time has come. I've no faith in his choice of tactics, his team selection and him as manager after the last 10 weeks. Its worse we're getting

Liverpool don't have a better team, yes they have Suarez & Sturrige playing out of their skins but apart from that not even the most die hard Liverpool fan would proclaim that they have a team of great players.

Sterling? Henderson? Gerrard? Allen? They've been doing pretty well too, at least in the latter half of the season. There's been games that they've played out of their skin and I've been extremely critical of some of Liverpool's squad this year.

I think, on the whole, the team have been playing well enough in a lot of their games, except the defence, which at times has nearly given me heart attacks.

Contrast that with some performances that the Utd team have put in, where they seem like they just aren't bothered.

We can point the finger at Moyes all day long and yes he does pick the team and tactics, but it's up to the team to go out and play game. Sometimes they seem like they couldn't be arsed.

Buttner may well decide to leave in the summer if he is overlooked for Bayer, even with Evra and most of the defence out injured.
and that Moyes wanted him gone last summer to Besiktas, before the Coentreau move collapsed.
    Wouldn't blame him.

Buttner leaving wouldn't be a huge worry in itself, as he's not a world beater.
however with Vidic, Rio and Evra already leaving, probably better to keep the other defenders.

On paper it is, but as many point out United have a lot of older experienced players that seem to have checked out. Any new manager is going to have to rebuild that squad, I wouldn't say that same job is needed at Liverpool or Arsenal.

I derided Henderson before as limited but playing in Rodgers system serves him well where they need players willing to run & close down, our players in comparison seem lazy & just stand off & watch the other team play the ball around rather than try to win it back, too much passing the buck amongst certain characters in our team.

That's a description of last seasons Henderson. This season he still has the work rate but his creativity has improved immensely, and that seems to have come with increased confidence and player development.

Firstly, I think any one that believes that Sir Alex Ferguson didn't recommend Mourinho or Guardiola because he didn't want them to be successful following him needs their head examined. SAF cares more about United than all of us put together.

Irrespective of other clubs are playing better this season,we finished last season with 89 points, the most we can achieve this season is 72 (might be 69 after last nights game). The team last night, for the first time I have ever seen, gave up and that comes from the manager. Moyes looked a beaten man last night. It was actually quite sad.

Its unfortunate but the results have not been there and there is a real risk that if he is in charge of a summer clearout and buys badly then we are looking at more than a poor season or two. A championship winning team and the mentality that comes with it could be broken up and we might not get it back.

I didn't want this to turn into an argument of "our team is better than yours",I'm merely stating that last season,Liverpool were way off the pace and we are current champions but that has swung around due to hard work & an actual game plan on Liverpool's part.Fair enough they concede goals but they know that they'll score more,in contrast United now concede but at times look like they wouldn't even score if the other team left the pitch.

Piss poor attitude from some of the players coupled with bizzare 'tactics' and team selections has United floundering.I actually haven't a lot of faith in us beating Villa at the weekend never mind actually getting something from the Bayern game.

That's why I said "before" in my post,he's no Zidane but at least he works hard and gets his rewards,we have Cleverly who's similar but believes he's above that and won't improve ala Henderson.

To use an analogy, our play has gone from Pixar to flip-book.Used to be fluid & a joy to watch but now is stilted and stop-start & hard on the eyes.

Well thats it.... That sums him up.
He's not worthy of being Man Utd manager.
Small mind average tactics and the players dont wanna play for him.
He is destroying the club no end.

It was mentioned here a few days ago there's a difference between form and class, Liverpool are playing at 100% right now and thats down to Rodgers and he should be commended with the exception of SAS I dont think any of the players you mentioned would get into the City or Chelsea they would improve United's midfield but who wouldn't at this stage.

In fairness,it's a valid statement,City play awesome football,we play drunk on a Sunday morning stuff.Still it's not something you want to hear a United manager say.

Felliani can't be any worse that Veron, Djemba-Djemba, Klieberson those notable Ferguson signings.

Fellaini can't be any worse than Veron? Sorry, what? Kleberson mightn't have been a success at Utd, but is generally unfairly maligned for his time. He also has a world cup winners medal and set up on of the goals in that final if I recall.

Strange how for a change none of us are looking forward to a Champions League quarter final.

Another 2 records set last night, quickest goal conceded at OT by us & first time in the prem that City & Liverpool have done the double over us.

Wonder what records will be set against Bayern?

Just amazing how one man has destroyed a club and a PL winning team

this is the thing that is fascinating.

i'm no manager. i'm no expert on what goes on at football clubs. i don't know about all the intricacies of preparation, tactics, etc.

like most here I'd imagine, I'm a novice when it comes to really knowing what it takes to manage a football club and coach a team.

but my God, i did not think it was possible for Utd to be in the state they seem to be in within this space of time. it's quite incredible. some people can diminish it and say he needs time, or he doesn't have his team in place, etc etc. but it just doesn't wash.

there is no logical reason apart from Moyes' ineptitude at his job that the team is performing in the way it is.

PL Champions, with additions, look like a pedestrian mid-table outfit. it's mental.

Thinking of throwing in the CV to United chiefs.

I think I could do a better job lads. I really do.

If somebody is not performing I will get me Hurley and bate the ****e outta him.

I've no interest in "our team is better than yours" nonsense either and I actually agree with you.

I just think the rot, as it were, is deeper than just Moyes level than a lot of Utd fans are making out.

There's no desire in the team. No fight.

I think you'll beat Villa though, but Bayern are going to tear you up, unless the team can pull something REALLY special out of the bag.

Cant imagine fergie saying something like that in regards to say Barca... For moyes to say it about City is braindead.
    A complete fool.
A hammering by Bayern(which WILL happen) should be the final straw.
They cant give this man any more time.

Read somewhere David Moyes said after the game 'we need to aspire to be more like City'

Please tell me he didnt say that??

I think he was commenting more on a certain standard of play rather than Man City.

Well in the context of ManU. Yes, Veron was one of my fav players of all time and was unreal at the 98 World Cup. Frank Le Boeuf also has World Cup medal and Dyrk Kuyt nearly got one..

Even when Moyes sets us up to be hard to beat,he makes a balls of it.Wigan had a go at City & won,we played 3 in midfield to combat City and still it looked like boys against men.Not much good when those 3 are as mobile as the Fr.Ted over 70's team. Then he decided to play 2 CM's as wingers:confused:

Realistically i expect 6-0 or 7-0 over both legs. I am fearful it could hit double figures.
