    Yes, it's Katy Gammon.

"A solicitor locked her boxer dog in her kitchen before moving out and leaving it to die, a court has heard.

Katy Gammon, 27, has been warned she faces prison for the "unnecessary" death of five-year-old Roxy.

She left the dog in her house in Bristol without food or water, Bristol Magistrates' Court heard.

The dog's remains were not discovered until 10 weeks later, when neighbours reported a large amount of flies around the house.

The animal was likely to have suffered a "prolonged and painful" death over a six-day period, magistrates were told.

Gammon sobbed in the dock as the court heard how Roxy desperately tried to claw her way out of the kitchen.

The pet had frantically emptied cupboards of mops and buckets in an attempt to find water, the court heard"

Thanks for the warning as I could not look at that.

Our collie has a similar story to tell before we rescued her.

Please if you feel for abandoned dogs, think about taking one from a shelter or pound. Better than railing at the woman.

The world needs less people with your attitude to animals

Id imagine with her facing jail time her career will be ruined so at least there is some justice there (excuse the pun).

Mortified is an interesting word to use. ie she is embarrassed; not sorry, guilt ridden, sickened, upset or remorseful; but mortified. As one would be to be found engaging in a guilty pleasure.
This woman is evil. We should not insult people with mental health issues by associating them with her.

Please sign this petition... This is to ensure she goes to prison and that poor dog Roxy gets justice!

Evil bitch treating a poor dog in that way!
Seriously? If you want to effect a change then campaigning your local TD or political representative for changes to animal cruelty laws is the way to go about it.

Signing a petition calling for her to be jailed smacks of a baying mob out for blood. Sure let's do away with the whole justice system anyway, gets in the way doesn't it?

I'm not going to look at the pics or story. Is the dog recovering?

The dog died. And you're right not to look, I'm sorry I did.

OK whatever about leaving the dog alone in a fit of rage, which is still not right ... but what about half an hour later ... two hours later ... a day later ... three days later ... all the time she was well aware the dog was suffering, that she could go back and fix it at any time, and she purposely chose not to?

An evil heartless shell of a person. :(

Article online of a woman leaving her dog in the kitchen after she moved out. Leaving the dog without food and water and basically for dead. Disgusting thing to read. Warning: There is a picture of the dog and it's not a nice sight. Don't understand how people can do things like this. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/katy-gammon-bristol-solicitor-facing-3261246#.Uy3RX3UgCXK.facebook

I really really hope this bitch dies after a prolonged and agonising illness on her own in a bedsit covered in her own faeces, urine and vomit with rats chewing on her feet

    What a heartless c*nt.

I can't stop thinking about the poor dog. Just trying to tell myself that for each horrific act of animal cruelty, there are many acts of compassion.

I brought my youngest dog for an extra long walk in the park today and let him swim his little heart out. I've been spoiling him all weekend.

I despair over the sheer numbers of disgusting, pathetic, heartless excuses for humans that roam the world, getting on with their normal lives.

Saw this on facebook earlier and was annoyed that i read it as it nearly made me sick and i cant get it out of my mind.
She really should be locked away for many years..As the message has to be sent out that people will not get away with this behavior.

Then again what hope have we that the courts will deal with this when they give out silly sentences for murder,Rape and serious assaults.:(

We really are a sick species.

Seriously? You think a judge is going to be swayed by a petition circulated on Twitter and Facebook? =/

I hope she does go to jail, but nonsense like that is what gives petitions a bad rap in general. 28,000 fcuking signatures from people who think that will make any difference to how a judge does his or her job.. christ almighty.

    Jeez, calm down :pac:

Can`t understand why this would annoy you so much.

Maybe you should start a petition calling for an end to petitions

I suspect her jail sentence is the least of her worries, she's probably safer in than out.

People like her should be starved and treated the way she did that to the dog . Animal cruelty is as low as you can go !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,007 ✭✭✭✭Supercell

What a f***ng b***h. Lock the fat c**t up herself without food or water for a few days and see how the heartless c**t likes it:( People like this make me loose my faith in humanity.

    A sociopath unfit for society...

Reading that article has made me want to put my fist through a wall. I'm sorry I even clicked on it

I hope she dies the most horrible horrible death imaginable, disgusting ****ing creature.

Would you take a hike, there's no need for this thread to descend into that sort of rubbish. This isn't about human life v animal life.
    Well the thread did descend into "that sort of rubbish" when the following was posted;
I don't consider any difference between cruelty to a defenseless animal or a child

if she left a five year old child to die what sentence would she get?
Not to mention people trying to outdo themselves with outrage and torture fantasies, calling for her to starved etc.

Calling out nonsense like that isn't the same as condoning her actions.

I'd probably smile if some animal loving nut job done her in.

    Please keep it that way.

No I said it specifically so I could just not keep it that way. I never looked at the images anyway and dont plan too.
