I feel nothing. I never plan to get a pet anyway though.

    Sickening. She deserves jail.

Of course she feels remorse - she got caught. The fact that she did it at all makes claims of remorse seem pretty hollow IMO.

Not a hope I'm looking at the pic.

She is a very worrying individual.

Edit: Why did I read that... whywhywhywhy :(

That photo will stay with me :(

This lady has got to be emotionally void. Social Services should check on her if she has any kids

Wow, I only found about this because there's a page on Facebook being shared about it. I doubted the story initially because it didn't make sense to me, maybe that's just because I didn't want to believe it. :(

What a horrible person, regardless of mental health problems. This is not something a person should be able to hide behind and it actually does a disservice to anyone who has mental health problems, as it fuels the old schtick of "nutjobs liable to do anything."

So fcuk that, she's just a cnut. No more, no less.

couldn't sleep last night thinking about the images I saw here, my dog is getting extra cuddles all day, keeping her snuggled up here safe and warm beside me.

I come over all biblical when I hear of stories like that and just think "Eye for an Eye".

The only possible saving grace is that in the UK she actually might receive a punishment / criminal record. If it happen here... assuming the guards could be arsed... it probably wouldn't make it to Court.

Saw this on Facebook but wasn't sure if it was true or not.
    Poor doggy :-(
The photo is awful. The panic that dog must have felt searching for food.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to have a pet.
    Poor poor dog:-(

another psychopath unfit to live in society

I don't consider any difference between cruelty to a defenseless animal or a child

if she left a five year old child to die what sentence would she get?

I'd rather see this happen to 100 dogs than it te happen to one child, there clearly is a difference.

Really wish I hadn't clicked the link, glad I couldn't bring myself to scroll down to the picture judging by the responses here.

She obviously needs psychiatric help - I'm just glad there were no children in her care :(

"I would ask the court to accept that my client has genuine remorse for the suffering she caused," Mrs Lyons said.
This is obviously not the case, as she showed the complete opposite in everything she done, so how can she even say that, crazy lies forwarded to the judge.

    Nasty thing to do indeed.
For me the fact that she was identified as 'mortified' says it all. She's not sorry for what she did, she's sorry she got caught. If it hadn't been reported by the neighbours she'd still be merrily sitting at home without a care in the world.

I would put that bitch away for life for that. How could she sleep at night?

I don't know if she has children but I would be very worried for them or future children she may have.

Oh my god, what a tragic ending of a dogs life. That evil woman. I can't believe that she is "remorseful" if that was the case when she returned after a week and got a smell, instead of walking away, Im sure she would of gone into the house. This was done on purpose, how sickening.

Came across a facebook page: Northern Ireland says NO to Animal Cruelty.

That page would break your hearts.

Picture up there of a couple of guys coming out of court laughing. 6 month suspended sentence.

They caught a poor cat, to give to dogs to rip apart. Cat left to die in pain. Videos taken of the whole thing. They did the same to a badger. And thats something to be laughed at, is it?????

6 month suspended sentence is the real joke here.

Harsher sentences has to be given and fcuk them into prison. And not for a couple of weeks. The maximum sentence allowed. These guys will do it again and again. Wipe those smiles from their faces.

The maximum sentence should be given here in this case again. It may just stop people. Is a couple of years of prison worth it for a cat or dog.

I volunteer up to four days a week at a local no-kill shelter. They currently are operating at 66% over capacity - and it is brutal. The kill shelters are full as well, and killing at an alarming rate. The animal cruelty and care in this country are woeful. As an American, I have never seen such a thing in the States in all my four decades on this planet. I know times are tough, but the cruelty towards all manner of animals that I have seen here simply are appalling - especially towards horses and greyhounds/lurchers. Ireland is now the #1 producer of Greyhounds in the world according to the ICB. One of the countries with the worse welfare for hounds produces the most. That is not a good combination. You see horses at every turn in some areas of this country that are poorly looked after, if at all. I just don't know what to say anymore.

    ^horses poorly looked after=travellers/scum

Seems to me she doesn't seem very smart, the dog wasn't even trained to do his business properly.

I hope she meets the wrong people at the wrong time in an alleyway,I couldn't care less people who abuse animals deserve pain.

They should lock her up with some water in a cell with no food, she looks like she could lose a few pounds the cow.

I have seen people abusing her for being "fat" on facebook what in gods name does that have to do with her animal cruelty, seems very immature.

She should simply get jail for as long as possible someone who can cause that much pain to anything should get punished as harshly as possible. I signed the petition for her to go too jail, don't know what good it will do but worth a try.

She should at the very least be banned from owning pets for life and if she has kids they social should make sure they are being looked after alright.

That's the way the internet goes if she was pretty they would giving dogs abuse saying shes was talking selfies and putting make up on etc etc makes no difference what she was.

And it's hardly immature it's animal abuse the dog can't fight back cow deserves everything she gets.

I never picking on her appearance is immature, I also said she should get as long as possible in jail and her home should be inspected to make sure her kids are alright.

Like her being fat or skinny has no bearing on her being evil, her true horribleness is on the inside not on the outside.

Doubt she is a Psychopath. If she was, she would have just de-chipped, removed the tag and dumped the dog in the countryside. Or dumped it into a kill shelter and said she found it.

She was lazy. She didn't want to train the dog. She didn't want to look after it. It was easy for to leave it and ignore the problem, which was also the worst option. The lazy option tbh. She's the type of person who ignores a problem and hopes it goes away.

Is she still able to practise as a solicitor after a criminal conviction?

If anything that would make her one, obviously the dog would die by being locked up while with the others the dog at least had a chance. She could have just thrown the dog out the door while she was leaving instead of trying to secure the kitchen door.

Would you take a hike, there's no need for this thread to descend into that sort of rubbish. This isn't about human life v animal life.

It's about a disgusting remorseless scumbag who has no regard for life full stop. She should be banned from ever owning an animal again and if a child is unfortunate enough to be under her care, they should be keeping a close eye on this one.

    Horrible woman.
