As long as there are no pubes caught in my teeth, blokes can do as little grooming as they want :o

    Truth.

I once bedded a girl who apologized before the act for not having shaven below for a couple of days (barely more than a few chin-whiskers down there).

I thought that was a pretty silly and VERY self conscious of her...I didn't give a flying fvck, and she was worried about my reaction.

I did that last week with the bf. Wasn't expecting to see him and it'd been three or four days since I'd shaved. I apologised, he laughed at me :o

I sometimes warn my boyfriend if I haven't had a wax :o its not insecurity though more a politeness thing because he's used to it being neat, whether its bald or a neat strip, so if I'm due a wax I'll just say it as a by the way in case he's planning to get up close down there! I'd be the same if I had spots though, I'd say ignore the face or whatever, just acknowledging the fact I know I look less groomed/well than usual. Not because i think he'd be repulsed more just for my own peace of mind. I think if she had said we're not having sex because of it or if I didn't go over to my boyfriend whenever I had spots, then it'd be insecurities, but mentioning it I'm not sure, guess it depends on the reasoning behind it.

But with shaving its different because the regrowth can be very coarse so she may have been apologising for the feel more so than the aesthetics.

So you don't work for the Catholic church then?

    Sorry.

I should add that the same girl later on started talking about the various different plastic surgeries that she wanted to have done.....such as fixing her nose (nothing wrong with it), bigger breasts (they must have been a feckin' D already, and she wanted them bigger )...So if I took a wild guess i'd say - INSECURE.

Like I said, didn't see her again :o

People are inferring things that aren't there. It was a comment on how modern standards tend to infantilise women, not some covert attack on posters here.

Body hair disgusts me, I hate it. Any blade of hair below my eyebrows gets either waxed off or shaved. My best friend is a beautician so she does my waxing for me, so it's free and I can ask her to wax in odd places. I wax my upper lip, sides of face, behind my neck so my hairline is even and neat if my hair is tied up. I wax my arms, I obviously shave under my arms, I wax the bikini area, I wax my legs, I wax my toes even though there is never anything on them.

I've been tempted to start waxing my tummy just over my bellybutton but it's tiny blonde hair and I'm worried waxing will make it dark and I've recently noticed blonde fine hair on my forehead and I'm debating having it threaded off. I take regular photos of my back to make sure there's no hair there too.

Tldr; people can feel cleaner and less vile without body hair. It's personal preference at the end of the day. Hate that attitude, "you look like a child", stfu. Hair is gross

    That's very OCD behaviour

Oh thank you internet, for making me never want to have sex again. :(
Next time I'm tempted, I'll be thinking of all the judgey revulsion people have for a simple sign of adulthood, and my poor little snatch will curl up and hide under its mossy red hair and never come out to play. :(

    How you doin? ;)

No, no it's not ... "finicky" perhaps, but not OCD (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057173395)

I imagine the obsessive compulsion to remove every bit of body hair could be defined as, eh, obsessive compulsive.

I guess you'd be well advised to read some of the latter posts in the thread I put up ;)

I regularly shave the yoghurt slinger, chest and lower back, on the other hand I prefer the missus with the hairy bush turkey.

Sorry, I just googled for a recipe for turkey with savoury yogurt and got directed here?

The example I quoted is real o.c.d., not just a quirk.

nobody in the history of the world has just googled "a recipe for turkey with savoury yogurt" ever.

Well it's not surprising when you consider the fact that even quite a lot of (young) men shave and wax themselves from head to foot these days.

My housemate takes great pride in showing me his balls after he's shaved them. I like a woman to be smooth but the problem is it doesnt stay smooth and becomes like sandpaper. Although it is a handy way of telling if a girl is a real redhead ;)

I don't like what you're implying, or is it inferring? I always mix those two up.

Off now to make some nice cocoa bean and muff diver cupcakes.

The only shaving complaint I have had from women was the stubble on my face, I never shave bare and always have it at stubble level, they say it feels like sandpaper.

You must have a lot of spare time for grooming!

Serious question - What about guys? If they aren't as fastidious as yourself about shaving/waxing do you feel sick and tell them to GTFO? Must be quite tricky, trying to work out if a guy is hairless below before pulling ;)

Like you said though, personal preference!

It doesn't really take a lot of time? Waxing lasts a while so it's not like I'm doing it every day. I have my own waxpot so can do it more regularly as I am
Not paying for it, and my best friend does the places I can't reach and again, it's free so I don't have to wait a long time in between waxes. As soon as its up over the skin enough, ill whack it off.

On guys, I would only sleep with a guy I knew pretty well already so that would have definitely have come up in conversation beforehand. I would expect him to be well groomed. Little/no underarm hair, no shoulder hair, little/no chest hair and smooth/tightly groomed pubes. It would definitely be a deal breaker going to get intimate with some young fella and finding out he was a rug. I don't think I could sleep with someone who didn't groom. The thoughts of it is actually turning my stomach.

People got attacked here for calling hairless genitals child-like, and now you keep saying "groom".

Also, I feel bad for hairy men now.

When i was in ty, i went on a school exchange to germany, For the first time in my life i saw other girls naked, in the showers after pe, all the german girls had shaved pubic areas, I couldn't understand why all 30 odd of them would shave this area.

    They were ordered to.

Each to their own, but I have to say I'd be the exact opposite. I would find really off putting if a man I was with was hairless or had very little body hair. I think body hair and a bit of a beard looks way more 'manly' and if my bf decided to wax himself from head to toe in the morning I'd think he was having a bit of a mid life crisis, trying to make himself look like a teenager again!!

I read somewhere that a hairy back on a man can be a turn off for a lot of women, I'm not dark haired so wouldn't have a lot of body hair anyway but I doubt many men would bother getting rid of back hair.

Couldn't give two hoots if she's shaved or not. If a girl allows me to access all areas. I'm a happy larry.
