    We're gonna need a bigger thread :D

***routes for Cello out of the back of the press***

BBC3 has had it's good share of music documentaries too.

Just last night (before the LLS), I was watching the documentary all about Pulp's classic 'Common People' (in six parts on de yootoobs).

Despite the slightly shaky sub-plot of trying to track down ''the girl from Greece who studied sculpture at St. Martin's college'', it was a very interesting programme.

True, although in recent years they targeted younger viewers and their documentaries tended to be more in the style of Freaky Eaters. But BBC Three will be missed.

Another one of theirs I would recommend is 'The story of Fairytale of New York'

Tracks of my Tears is an awesome song.

Definitely on my Desert Island Discs list.

Oasis, best Beatles cover band ever.

    Yeah, there was legal action.

Step Out was included in some promotional releases of Whats the Story Morning Glory. Probably worth a few quid. Good song.

    Quality tune-age.

No record label comes even close to Motown for classic songs.

There's Gladys ... so many great singers and musicians at Motown. And songwriters. It really was a Hit Factory.

Always loved Midnight Train To Georgia.

But such a sad song needs a more dialled down performance surely.

It's rather a watered down selection of Motown performances. Shame they threw out all the old archives.

The audience couldn't have looked less enthused...probably waiting for KLF or The Wonder Stuff to come on.

    What is it good for?

    Reelection and economic recovery apparently...

I presume 'stimulating the US economy' is not an appropriate answer to this question?
