Having trouble with the saorview manual scan on enigma2 on TTGs image, can't pick up the channels after a number of scans, any pointers as to what the settings should be, here is what I see

Change bandwidth to 8MHz and rescan

Same result '0 channels found' unfortunately. The antenna cable is fine as it works on my saorview when I switch it back.......not sure where the problem is

From that pic you are only scanning one TP at 466000. Either enter the correct frequencies for your area (see Saorview.ie) or change scan type to all frequencies.

Thanks guys, problem solved with correct freq

I've been running champions image for ages but I kept having freezes/glitching etc. As I posted before the available free memory was always only 1-2% and I thought this was causing the problems I was having.
I flashed TTG's image this morning and so far so good.
Very smooth, available free memory is between 22-25% and no glitching/freezing so far.
    Hopefully it'll stay that way...

    Attention AA2+ Owners

Hi all, I have redone a new Terrestrial.xml file which I "hope" will allow you to scan Saorview Channels on my AR-P based Image. Download the following - https://www.dropbox.com/s/uo2qbgnckoynqpz/terrestrial.xml - and copy it to /etc/tuxbox.

This file will give you several scanning options

    - All Saorview Channels
    - The Primary Irish Transmitters (So the frequencies of Mux1 and Mux2)
    - The Primary UK Transmitters (Brougher, Divis & Limavady)
    - Scan each single UHF frequency (rather than using the manual option (Which I really think doesn't work correctly)

    Fingers Crossed !!!

Just curious what kind of Samsung TV do you have? Did you get a separate sound bar for it or is the sound off it ok? I am thinking of getting a 32" F5000 for my room but of all the reviews I've read I still can't decide... panel lottery, tiny sound.

Badly want to pair my Alien 2 up with a decent screen.

Alien 2 has the best SD picture of any receiver I have ever owned ,and that's alot .
It just has so much more detail than other receivers with lower res stuff .

Nice one, they have fixed the remote eps settings in V4
[GM SH4] set correct eps "60" for greater angle

Hopefully the recording functions will be a bit smoother on V4.

My AA2+ displays 'boot' on the front display whether in E2 or Spark, and stays that way. I can boot fine etc, but bit annoying.

    Anyone seen this before?

That happens to me in E2, but not in Spark.
Spark displays the channel name or app I am watching\using.

This is because the firmware for that display on the Plus model hasn't been leaked to the e2 community

It did display channel name/time fine on Spark when I first got the box. I'm sure others with this box have it working?
So must have been since I flashed the new images..

I dont know if anyone has been having the green screen issues (RTE player \ Web Media etc) on TTGs latest image like I have but I found the root cause.
Basically my DNS server 192.168.1.254 (My Eircom router) could not resolve many names.
Eircom use the following DNS servers:
    Primary DNS Server 159.134.0.1 dns1.eircom.net
    Secondary DNS Server 159.134.0.2 dns2.eircom.net

How I detected the issue and how I fixed it are detailed below for those who are interested.

    - I tried to install latest tsmedia plugin but it failed due to missing dependencies.
    spark7162:/tmp# opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tsmedia-oe2.0_5.0_all.ipk

    - Finally after a reboot I noticed that the /etc/resolv.conf was overwritten with my router IP again so I changed the settings on the Enigma2 side
and made the adapter static (using the google dns) rather than use DHCP.

Thanks for this useful post. How is TS Media working for you? I kept getting green screens when I tried installing it on PKT v2 a few months back, it also over-wrote some files and messed up my OpenWebIf. Do many of the streams work for you?

    No worries.
When I had the name resolution problem most of the media plugins green screened.
Strangely enough in TSMedia, 1 channel worked OK, but the other plugins in thee did not load up anything (probably because they could not resolve the IP).
After I fixed the DNS problem, I upgraded TSMedia to 5.2 (I think), which is much better than the version that comes with the image, using the PKteam Blue panel and now all the streams are working in TSmedia.
RTE player is still working after TSMedia update too.
    Hope this helps.

Just picked up my Alien triple tuner but either my terrestrial tuner is not working or I'm missing something basis.

my coax plugged into the TV tuner direct is picking up Saorview fine so there is definitely signal but when plugged into the STB I get nothing. I tried it on Spark and Champion's image. Just ran a scan in Spark and no channels found.

    Any thoughts?

It IS plugged into antenna IN!

Can't tell u about scan on spark, just too long ago but on enigma2 - find the frequencies used by your transmitter from google or wiki. Do manual scan with the 2 frequencies & should pick up the full saorview list. If u do a search thru this thread should find more details on this, this is a common enough problem for initial setup.

    Try this http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=88509825&postcount=4172

Some people have problems getting saorview working on Champs image, you could be one of them. I've no experience of scanning in spark so I can't help you on that either. You could flash my image and see if you have any luck with that.
Your scan settings should look like this

Note:I will be uploading a new backup of hyperion v4 in the next few days if you want to hold off setting everything up.

    My initial tests with Hyp4:-
Can't get CA0-CA1 mapping working but haven't tried much yet.
Box VERY slow to react when watching terrestrial 10+secs per keypress. OK on satellite.
Two horizontal lines across screen but only on menus (1080P)
Sometimes have to manually mount HDD after reboot.

I'm curious to see if any one else has these or if it's just my install.

Have you an AA2 or an AA2+ ?

With either, see my posting yesterday about replacing the terrestrial.xml file.

Hey Champ. I tried that on a AA2+ I'm setting up for a friend but no joy I'm afraid. Still only picking up the one mux.
