I know the skies are blue, but an ice cream van just tootled up the road with its annoying jingle - really!!!

That's been happening all through the past few winters beside me!
Being next to Ballymun though I'm pretty sure the real merchandise is probably a different sort of white treat!

I used to live on Santry Avenue and you'd hear that merry jingle in the depths of December. I always suspected the same thing. Nobody ever suspects the ice cream man. He's above reproach.

Ran by someone cutting the grass around a school this afternoon, I must admit I enjoyed the smell.

If an ice cream van went past my house it would definitely go into the rave thread!

Taylor's Lane in Rathfarnam. WTF ? It's a motorway now, when did that happen ? When I were a younger man you couldn't get two bikes passing on that road.

Pedestrians. Rambling, shuffling, wandering f*ckers. If you walk in a straight line I won't barge into you. Otherwise all bets are off.

Having any dealings with AIB - they took an extra credit card payment last month, and from what it seems they have changed a policy but are refusing to admit that they have changed it. A bit "We have always been at war with Eastasia" - can't wait until I never have to deal with these carbuncles again.

Cutting your big toe nail too short so there's raw skin exposed. Add to the mix that I twisted my back yesterday so the only comfortable sleeping posting was flat on my back, which meant my toe constantly rubbed the duvet. Wonderful.

    Wear a sock in bed

Not sure if it would have helped, the socks I first put on this morning irritated it so I had to go find some big flappy loose ones.

Doing 400m intervals i bushy park, literally running flat out, ready to collapse, when another runner just breezes past me, looking like he is on a warm up or something. Fecker.

I did a similar session a few months back in the park where the MSB Juniors train. I'm huffing and puffing my way round the edge of the park while all these kids are flying around on the inside with not a bother on them.
