BT Sports/Setanta Sports/Sky Sports- god be with the day when you could have one subscription to watch all the best games. Seems nowadays you need about 3:mad:

A lovely evening to sit by the fire watching Arsenal v UTD.....if only I had the channel.

UPC (broadband) seems to work fine as an all in one for me :D

At the stage now where I start to wonder what is the need for a TV package when you can stream any bit of sport going these days

Irish Rail. ****ing irish rail and their stupid ****ing website.

How difficult is it to have a website that lets you enter your dates of travel and pulls back the times and prices of the trains?

Too ****ing difficult for Irish rail obviously.

Also the final kick in the teeth is the following banner: "Welcome to our New Responsive Website - Register your feedback"

    Feedback duly given.

Also if anyone knows how much a day return from Dublin to Ennis will cost on Sunday let me know.

    Stability and better quality, mostly.

We have 2 Virgin Media boxes, 2 TV's and 2 laptops in the sitting room. There have been times when 4 matches/races/misc sporting events have been watched at once. :D

And a rant to stay on topic: Grr treadmills grr, weather for tonight looks absolute garbage and I need to squeeze in a run before Arsebiscuits-ManU.

    Snowboard slopestyle

This is currently on BBC and it is pissing me off majorly. I hate snowbaorders as it is. I can say this as a man who has never skied or plans to ski in my lifetime. The competitors are all smiles having a laugh in their designer snow gear, it's the fcuking olympics, take it seriously or go home. The marshals are all bearded bastards who look like they could go with a good wash. And the commentators of the event, a bunch of ****ebags. Making up terms as they go along. Someone in the BBC main studio asked they to explain what they meant by "a bit squirrely" and the bastards couldn't explain it themselves (that's just one of their stupid terms). They've more made up jargon than some of the training logs on boards.ie. IMO, everyone involved in this "sport" is a hipster dick. I'd say they all head to starbucks for a coffee post event, surf the web on their iPads before heading to some crappy bar to eat tapas and drink some random crap craft beer that is unique to the region. I hope the sun comes out and melts their slopes before run 2

Ah come on, the slopestyle snowboarding was amazing, they're as brave as fcuk and great athletes. Plus all the chicks are seriously hot(especially the downhill skiers). Pisses all over anything in the summer Olympics. You should watch the ski cross next thursday........now thats a sport.

Women's beach volley ball trumps it big time. I will agree that there were a disproportional number of good looking female competitors. Still a load of crap. My major issue was with dick head commentators.

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll extend the system down to Waterford in a few years. ;)

Yep. Second week with no running:(. My own fault. Got carried away with the club sessions over the last few weeks, paying the price now. Looks like the quality type training just doesn't agree with me, always end up injured. Have to rethink my training.

God said to Abraham: " to prove your devotion to me you must bring your son into the wilderness where you will make a sacrifice of him in my name"
Abraham was grief stricken and pleaded to God:" Lord my love for you is pure but he is my only son and I can not take his life. Please grant me this and I will meet any other test you set for me."
God said:" Very well Abraham you must go to Mayo in January and prepare for a spring marathon."
Abraham said:" what was the first thing you said again?"

Allah would never test his devoted followers like that! Just sayin', a change of religion should be considered ;)

Going to sound like a bit of an ass here but when I see the sessions you were doing I expecting an injury, I think you can run reall well just of slow easy miles. Hope the injury isn't to bad ? Calf again?

Your right. I love running hard, still a middle-distance runner at heart but my body just can't handle the tough sessions. I tend to give 100% in training. Need to hold back a bit. The problem this time is plantar fasciitis, a strain on a tendon in my foot.

Jebus, the rant thread had fallen off the front page.

Anyway, Ray Darcy. The Napoleon Complex is strong in that one.
