Fast Als must produce the most over priced cheese on toast I've ever seen. Who ever owns it must be making a killing.

I agree, but they definitely make some of the better pizza in the city.

O'Briens in Blackpool SC are back open again

I actually don't mind O'Briens at all. But I agree it's a bit pricey still.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Joup in Ballinlough, tastiest sammiches in Cork by a country mile! Great choice of fillings too and reasonably priced, cheaper than the market and better imo.

joup do good sandwiches but your going up a fair bit in price for them. They also in my opinion do Corks best scones.

If you like O'Briens try Brackens, better bread same style half the price.

I went to the Holy Grain today for the first time in a while. Absolutely delicious cheese on toast for 2.50eur! A steal.

The Cork Reuben in the sandwich stall. Spiced beef with sauerkraut.

Is that in the stall in the English Market?

I think jam at hanleys garden centre off the kinsale road roundabout should get a mention. Their wraps are brilliant.

their stuff is nice granted, perhaps a tad over-priced but I guess it is a garden centre café, I've yet to see a reasonably priced one ;)

I only ever get a wrap and a coffee and I think it comes to 5.70 with the wrap being close to arm thickness as I ask for quite a lot of ingredients. Think its excellent value.

Everything in Jam looks lovely but it all tastes so bland. My OH loves it at the weekend but everything I've tried is so flat. I usually just get a scone now.

The Wooly Club from the Woolshed, pricey at 9.50e but it's more of a meal than anything.
Comes with either fries or tortilla chips too.

    Amazing.

The Wholy Grain on Washington St... fantastic bread!

Orso near GPO seems like it would be nice...always too busy when I pass though so haven't eaten there myself.

Orso isnt very nice imho, irish take on lebanese grub that isnt upto much.

So disappointed with the Holy Grain the last few times I've gone in there. Portion sizes used to be great with the bread being cut nice and thick.

Staff must have got new orders as the bread is now being cut way thinner and fillings are a lot less than before. A real pity. Was the best place to get a sandwich in Cork.

I got a takeaway curry here a few weeks ago. It was about 70% soggy cous cous with a small portion of (not great) curry on top. If I'd been dining in I would have sent it back. Pricy enough too. I much prefer the place at the back of the English Market, near the fish stalls - I can't remember the name.

Something with a sausage in it from O'Flynns on Winthrop Street.

Brackens is high on the list too.

Closer to home has to be the Artisan Food Store at St Luke's Cross. Delicious rolls.
