I guess they were vote chosen but I really thought there were better maps.

I loved Seine xing and Talah.. but then I didnt play as much as most people...

I do like Caspian and Firestorm though...

Been playing the crap out of BF4... have gotten to level 75 or so.

There are so many things about this game that are wrong or broke but it still has the most amazing "agency" of any game I've ever played. First time I played beta I had a fire fight on top of the China Rising sky scraper. Saw two more guys trying to snipe me and decided that since I had seen people parachute, maybe this was a good time to try it out. Shot out the window, jump off and realised I had no idea what the parachute button was. Half way down (and quite paniced) I found it. Saw a tank fighting my teams tank, took out my rpg and rocketed it in the roof, killing it. Landed beside my tank and started repairing it. LIKE JAMES ****ING BOND.

Playing CoD afterwards felt like playing tictactoe after chess.

My gripes are primarily that engineers are too effective at taking out air and too ineffective at taking out tanks. Snipers get to take out tanks with one C4 laden bike, but engineers have to stand there and shoot up to 5 times to take out a tank (3 minimum). And yes I know about the mystical properties of spotting... and one day I hope to see someone actually doing it.

Devastating that we won't see mod tools for this game.

People are still playing BF2 but will anyone be playing BF4 10 years from now?! Not a chance and the reason being, 'we're simply too stupid to understand the Frostbite engine". Now I've heard that there are copyright issues within the engine itself but would EA really fall over themselves to release the tools? I doubt it. A lot can be said for, "well, they'll lose out on DLC if the community makes better maps" and this is understandable but surely a quick brainstorm regarding ways around this would notify those in the back offices that there are other ways.

TF2 anyone?

There are numerous ways for a company to still make money even if the mod tools are released. Community created content could be charged for like Steam's Workshop.

Been playing like a drain since the new dlc came out, don't know what's happened at all. Especially since these are maps I played to death in BF3. Quite frustrating.

New PC patch today - basically fixes for issues caused by last patch.

-Fix for the so called “sound loop crash” issue that caused the game to freeze
-Fix for an issue that sometimes prevented players from shooting while in the gunner position of a vehicle
-Fix for the headshot icon appearing incorrectly at non-headshot deaths, such as suicide or dying of an explosion
-General stability improvements

Hopefully this helps those crashing a lot.

I'm by no means a Carlos Hathcock at the best of times but with only the SRR to unlock, I really want to get the Gol as I've heard nothing but good things.

I seem to be getting killed by it a lot so it seems people like it. Hopefully its as as good as the BC2 version, that was a demon of a gun.

for sniping in BC2 the M98B has to be the boss weapon

I found it a bit meh and very slow. The GOL was my go to sniper rifle, laser beam accurate as well.
