    Will the new regs really mean that the standard of work will improve. You can use the required amount of insulation for example but if its not installed correctly its of no use. Over the past years houses have been built by builders and self builders and i would say the vast majority of self builds have been completed to a higher standard as you always take more care and attention if its your own. Have had the pleasure of working for some great builders but also a few you would let build a dog shed. Its just the way of the world.
