True, but then the last 15 pages of brilliant insight and knowledge (also known as random guessing) wouldn't have taken place.

There was no Big Bucks to worry about last year and they still went for sentiment and history than a proper title

Lads roughly what would a hurricane fly out Connor forecast pay?? Thanks

It's very hard to say given it is a pool payout. I would guess somewhere in the region of €10. Give or take

Around 17/1 i'd imagine and probably around 20 if the result was reversed

A few points out, going by the year he won at 11/4 with Peddlars 2nd at 9/2 the prices wont be far off paid just over 13/1

WPM talking to hacks after Daneking... more or less implying considerable doubts about Un De Sceaux running at Cheltenham.
    Hmmm...

That won't come as a surprise to anyone.

Seems to have drifted a bit on betfair to and the pink side virtually blank.

This what Mullins is quoted as saying: "I just wonder if he needs that at this time in his career, taking on those fantastic horses.Obviously he is hugely talented for the future, we were happy to keep him under the radar and that's where I'd like to keep him."

He won't even run in the CH, let alone win it.

Wasn't much of a wait after all.

Fairly sure most people saw this coming. Willie will want HF to win a 3rd CH more than anything and won't give him an unnecessary obstacle. Even if UDS wasn't good enough, him blasting off from the front wouldn't have helped HF's chances at all.

Definitely looks a non runner based on Betfair market. In fact the Champion Hurdle may easily end up a very small field

Was thinking that too. 6 or 7 horses on the day? All fancied, that'd be weird.

Make no mistake, Mullins, and Ruby for that matter doesn't care about sentiment, if he knew that UDS was better than Hurricane Fly then do you think he would take a chance on a 10 years old who isn't as good as one in his yard.

    Don't be so ridiculous

Rubbish, ruby said on numerous occasions that he would never ride another horse if kauto star was running. He said sentiment played a huge part in his relationship with the horse.

Lol. Ruby said. Suppose that's it then.

Considering Ruby is the jockey, yes.

Looks like UDS won't run, pity as if he was 10s on the day I would have place layed him for sure. Pity for anyone who backed ante post though.

My Tent Or Yours bumper win hopefully will have put him spot on now.

No shock at all given he would have cut HF's throat but a seriously questionable decision by Mullins IMO. Fair enough he wants HF to win more than anything (perfectly understandable) but no way is HF in a strong enough position to think that he alone will guarantee another CH success. IMO he's extremely vulnerable to the younger brigade, regardless of whether UDS turned up or not. Like Nicholls when he was mob-handed, Willie will have to learn to grab opportunity while he can. There's no guarantee that UDS will be the same horse next year, just hope connections don't live to regret it.

    NRFB, little harm done.

If he's not running him because they don't believe he can win the race, fair enough. But if they're not running him because they're afraid of beating Hurricane Fly, whether they think he's his only/biggest danger or not it's bad form. It would be different if the two horses were in the same ownership, but they're not.

Lol. Ruby Walsh would sell out his wife for a champion hurdle winner, he wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over a horse

You do remember Kauto and Denman, right?

If you read his book he says he underestimated Denman. Kauto was always the shorter price of the two when they faced each other so it was hardly a case of his heart ruling his head. I think the only sentiment he has is towards money/winners.
