Paid the parking meter, it was covered up until 1631

I'm not making excuses, I was late back to my car, had the two kids with me (both under 3)and through one thing an another was late back, plain and simple.

NCPS must make a fortune at this lark. €90 release fee, plus another if paying by card.

I'm sorely sorely tempted to get out my bolt cutters tbh.

    Cut or pay AH?

Never thought I'd see a thread about clamping on AH. How novel !

Anyway, you deserved to be clamped if your car has been parked there for last 383 years.

No excuses for not moving it in that space of time.

What the hell were you at?

Cut. If even just to tell people you did it.

Cut it, it'll be months before they chase you for it anyway... then say you never saw a clamp. You got there and just drove off.

My mate arrived with bolt cutter, but they ain't removing this lock that's for sure.

Paid. Riles me to say it, but the kids are getting upset.

I let the system beat me.

What you on about? What gives these wanker clampers the right to interfere with an other person's property.

There's no way I'd pay the release fee. I'd rather spend €100 on a consaw and cut it off.

It always seems a bit unfair that the penalty for being a few minutes late is the same as the penalty for not bothering to pay at all.

The system didn't beat you. The system caught you as it is supposed to do. You were illegally parked. Kids are no excuse. You were late back and old enough now to know the rules and the repercussions of breaking them.

    The local authority I presume.

You accept the terms by parking there. You break the terms. You get clamped. Harsh but hardly persecution level.

Damn, too late. Turn your man-card in monday morning. Suspended for six months, three months extra for you being a practical sort. Hang your head. I'm disappointed here tbh. More was expected.

Bugs the **** out of me the way some people think having kids means the rules shouldn't really apply to them.

I read that as a story of some who made a balls of driving and made a balls of parenting.

    Oh for God's sake.

    Get a grip.

    Hang on a minute.

You my have missed in my op where I took full responsibility for being back late.

I didn't use the 'only a few minutes' excuse. Get a grip or get off the old high horse there humbert.

Balls, I shouldve Rang you lol!!!

Ah look, the eldest was getting upset in the car. As I said, Riles me to pay that shower, but rest assured if I was kids free today, that clamp was headed home with me and no mistake.

While I wouldn't cut or damage the lock, I'd happily get a locksmith out to pick it rather than pay those leeches in NCPS
