They seriously need to nerf the ability to repair in-flight in my opinion, or as I've said before, introduce a system where by once a vehicle takes a hit, it can be repaired but only to 80% of its original health, then 60-70% of the following hit, and so on. Is ridiculous that you can make 5 hits on a chopper and still not take it down because the repair rate is outpacing your damage. I know it's about teamwork, but AA guys are surprisingly rare in the game in general. I use the engineer class 90% of the time.

...and yet whenever I go up in a helo, the time between takeoff and lockon could be measured in picoseconds...

I'm starting to think the lock on sound is a permanent feature in a chopper. I didn't hear it once and thought something was wrong..

Sorry, the first thing I do when I see somebody enjoying themselves in a chopper is spawn with a Stinger. I'm glad they fixed the helicopter flip bug though, that was OP.

Stingers? Where's the fun in that?:pac:

Lock on weapons are your friend ;) the jav will damage a scout pretty bad to the point where is might not recover provided a useful recon is using its pld or soflam to lock on.

Also premium battle pack today had second assault related dog tags hopefully the 18th of feb is the release date im bored of the maps at the moment.

Had a quick look at the assignments, they seem easier than the china rising ones, trying to get kills in the bombing raid is a nightmare, and im not the greatest pilot in the world so its a pain trying to get the jet fighter ribbons aswell

Yea they don't seem too difficult tbh. Except the ten kill streak. I think I've gotten 5 once and that was a miracle to which I died almost instantly after.
That said I don't really care too much about the assignments. If I'm close to finishing one I go for it, else I couldn't be bothered.

Bombing raid is touch and go. Can get lucky sometimes and get a number of kills in one run. Or you can get blown out of the sky by aa before you even get to launch once.

Are they going to do rent a server for the PS4 or is it a case they want to have the game "working" before they let the server renting happen?

PC patch coming tomorrow, no patch notes as of yet - hopefully addresses some of the desync/hit detection issues *fingers crossed*

    Patch is out for pc

Feb 13 PC Game Update Notes
-General stability improvements (no clue what this means)
-Fix for an issue where spawning into, or switching to, a gunner seat in an IFV/MBT sometimes could cause the game to crash
-Fix for missing sound in Team/Squad Deathmatch
-Fix for an issue in the Defuse game mode, where a bomb carrier would be permanently spotted (this bug, like the two above should never have made it into the game in the first place, even five minutes of testing would have flagged these)
-Decreased the rate at which the kill card would incorrectly display 0 health, while the enemy was clearly alive (note: decreased, not fixed !)
-Fix for an invisible wall that was incorrectly present in one of the fallen concrete pipes on Zavod 311 (well that's one fixed, how about the rest ??)
-Fix for an issue where bullet impact sounds weren’t properly matching the actual number of impacts
-Fix for an issue where the “Draw” message would not display on-screen once a Conquest round ended with both teams having the same amount of tickets
-Fix for an issue where long IDs wouldn’t scroll on dog tags
-Fix for missing grass physics in terrain (nice to have this back again)

Mantle (probably won't affect all that many people until the amd drivers are optimized for a wider range of cards, but might do something)
-Fix for a crash that would occur when activating full screen in portrait mode
-Fix for stuttering that could appear during video sequences on multi-GPU PCs
-Fix for a memory system leak that could cause stalls, which would result in frames taking longer to process
-Reduced the amount of stalls that occurred when running with high graphics setting that require more GPU memory than is currently available
    -Fixed screenshots on multi-GPU PCs

Really doesn't sound like much unless that first one is big'un..

Dunno if I'll be testing later. Will see.

DICE promise: no more work on dlc until game is fixed
DICE actuality: free battlepacks, patches that fix minor issues and introduce more bugs, gamebreaking issues ignored, announce two dlc to be released in the next six weeks.
    Hooray !

Both I suppose, after all DICE no longer exists since they were bought by EA. I suppose the correct term would have been "EA Digital Illusions CE".

They were silly to announce this, and people were even sillier to believe it. DICE has over 300 employees. Every one of them (level designers for example) would not have been working on fixing the game. In other words, development of DLCs can mostly go ahead while the bugs are being fixed.

It was a calculated move. The Second Assault work was done ages ago, or else it couldn't have been released early for the XBOne like it was. Easy to halt work when there's no work to do.

Maybe they should have had them doing things like testing - instead we got a patch where there was no sound in TDM, insta crash if you tried to spawn into the gunner seat of a tank and perma tagged bomb carried in defuse. Honestly that's nothing short of pathetic.
Everyone involved in coding or bug catching should have been focused on fixing the game, not working on dlc that will no doubt be riddled with even more bugs - hell, some of the SA bugs on xbone still haven't been fixed...and they're bugs that were patched in the original bf3 versions of the maps !
