I've been eyeing up the iTaste VTR for a while, I finally bought one on Fasttech today along with 2 batteries for €67 and free delivery, the only downside being the 2 plus week wait and the probable tax on top of what I've already paid, will still be worth it though.

VTR is 70 euro after discount on Vaperus.ie. I can understand grabbing a Nemesis clone or RDAs etc but a VTR is crazy. Customs and an An Post charge make it not worth bothering with IMO.

The batts I ordered with it are included in the price and they were $15 they'd cost about €20 here, if I get nabbed by customs it'll cost me no more or less than ordering locally.

Im not convinced dude. Hope it works out but there's no way I'd do it just to save a few quid.

Have fasttech gotten over their problem shipping batteries?

Yup. They had a varied choice of shipping options, some wouldn't ship batteries, there were 3 that did, one was a free shipping option, DHL option was $42, extortion.

It has a great rep as a good piece of kit

But...I just can't get my head around the aesthetics of it, I'm so shallow :D

Reminds me of fookn breathalyser :pac:

"Would you mind blowing into this please sir?"

I've bitten the bullet and ordered a Kayfun clone from fasttech.

I wanted the Russian, but they were all in long lead times, so opted for the sandblasted lite. This is more an experiment to see how I get on with these before buying the real deal.

The Nemesis is next on my shopping list.

    Wick?

    Wick?

I was planning on using cotton ive got loads in the house. I was told its best for flavour?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

Yeah, cotton works well. Just remember that you don't need a whole lot. Best to make your coil up using a screwdriver shaft or something as a support and then feed cotton through. Trial and error though if you're starting out.

yea ive been watching videos of grim green doing it this way. how many wraps would i need to do with that 33 nichrome for a 1.5ish coil or in around there. want to play safe and just enjoy dripping for a while before i start going into sub ohm madness

You need to know the width of whatever you're coiling around to know how many wraps.
Not many though, 0.18mm Nichrome is quite thin.

Ah yea that makes sense. I think it said it was 0.46 ohms per cm

That's how people should be trying to get resistance -> length.

1.5ohm = 3.26cm length of that wire. Add a few mm on each side for the legs.

Maybe 4/5 wraps around a 2mm diameter screwdriver?

Had 3 dud XL carts in a row so want to try something new:

    Innokin iClear-30-S
    HS USA Mix 100ml -
Cone for Vivi or similar Tank
    Smok EMAX VV/VW 1300mah

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,264 ✭✭✭✭Eoin

Well, that was a waste of money. Great vapour from the battery & tank, but a pretty regular burnt taste.

Bounty hunter, buds blend and banofee from e smoke ireland. Along with an 18350 so i can get me svd into stealth mode :-D a couple of iclear 16s, a vivi nova, and a 306 bridgeless for taste testing.

On first impressions the vivi nova and i clear 16s work well, good flavour and vapor, wick well and work perfect. Time will tell if anything leaks.

The 306 is my first dripper. Have just discovered i need a 306 drip tip tho.

As for the juice- the moms and pops buds blend i have to steep for a day or two.

The banoffee is delicious, real bananna taste, not artificial at all, just enough toffee so it doesnt make it over bearing. Really like it. Flavour very good, th good. Not too strong. Its a 20mg juice but hits like between 16 and 18

The bounty hunter - again a great flavour. The wingnuts juice is very impressive. I would say that the flavour and th is the same as the other.
One thing though, this one i could only vape for an evening or so, its a bit much, the coconut is very strong
