Nope, standard. That's on me, isn't it? Don't tell me DHL would have been cheaper and faster!

Nah, I generally always get nabbed with DHL, but get away with an post. That's why I asked.

Scuba's Orange - 30ml (Sounds like my kind of flavour so gambled on the bigger bottle).

    Butterfly Bait - 10ml

    Red Ridge Mist - 10ml

    Paradise Delight - 10ml

So these arrived this morning and naturally, I sampled all of them!

Surprised to find the one I was most excited about (Scuba's Orange) is my least favourite. It's grand like, but nothing special.

Butterfly Bait and Red Ridge Mist are superb though, so they are both on my list of future purchases. I'm sad I only have 10ml of each now!

Edit: Also, e-smokeireland threw in a free bottle of Wingnut's ectoplasmic due to the problem with my order (thanks guys!), I haven't tried it yet but it smells really good.

Thats why i stopped buying 10ml bottles. :p Its a killer if you get your juice on a thursday or friday, you love it, fly through it then have to wait 4 or 5 days for another bottle :p
I just buy 30ml bottles now, if i dont like it ill just pass it to a friend.

More importantly :p what kind of flavours are Butterfly Bait and Red Ridge? I find the descriptions for those liquids, really awful.

I had a joye ego a few years ago and found them to burn atomizers and batteries out fairly quick.this seems to be a better more strudy design to it. Seen them on a stand in the local shopping centre and said id give it a go as I was meaning to try vaping again to get off the smokes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

A Joye eGo should be less likely to burn atties out because the voltage is regulated and low (3.3v). This one starts at 4.2v and depletes 'til dead.
Depends what resistance atty you put on either of them too. The lower the resistance the higher the heat the quicker the atty will die (but chances are the better the vape - unless it's too hot).
It'll probably still work for you but as said, have heard badness. Not the type of battery I'd be buying myself anyway.
If/when you want a really good ego-style battery upgrade look out for eGo Twists, eVod Twists, Vision Spinners and SLB eGo-Vs. Known batteries and reputable brands.

I agree the descriptions are terrible, but there's a reason for that! They are actually really tough to describe. I wouldn't have bought them based on the descriptions, but I had read some very positive reviews and decided to take the plunge. I'm glad I did!

The Butterfly Bait has sort of a flowery aroma which sounds manky, but it's actually quite sweet and has a hint of what I think is lavender. Sounds weird, but it works.

Red Ridge Mist I can't think of any way to describe at all.

The last two years has been absolutely bananas. Can't even imagine what it'll be like in a year.

I just ****ing love vaping so much. Down to 3mg nic now and I don't even think I'm addicted to the nic any more.

It's like smoking, but so much more tailor made to your taste. Flavour, viscosity, heat. What ever you want, you can have it, and you don't have to be addicted.

I wonder why the government would panic that we are leaving a highly addictive substance (Tobacco) that gives them insane revenue and also ensures they don't have to pay out as much in health care and pensions for the elderly as smokers die younger.

    hey, wait a minute...

Can't see it being banned, well not as such, the devices batts act can never be banned, they are used in too many other applications, the flavours can't be banned for same reason but the nicotine can be controlled. ie taxed.

If they tax nicotine then it will just lead to a cross border Internet trade with nicotine being labelled as something else...."honest mistake Guv...."

I guess it lies in the hands of the EU for now but still would not be at all surprised to see a ham-fisted attempt at taxing it by the Irish government.

If Tobacco companies and the government had any sense they'd get in on the market ive been abroad for two years and noticed that every shop/petrol station seems to stock e-cigs now since ive been back

I've noticed that recently too. All cigalikes though as far as I can see. There's a petrol station close to me and it has a heap of different brands of cigalikes.

Well they could (and if I was them I would) ban all devices that are designed to vaporize any liquid, this would leave the battery and maryjane vaperizers while removing all ecig related atomizers. Then add some regs about safe delivery and consistent doses and nic limits. The product that reached these standards would be licensed for sale. Oh hang on, that's exactly what the EU commission are proposing. So a ban it is then. Because without an atomizer how would you use any available nic juice? Who would sell this juice? china?
As to taxing it, tax what? theirs no market now!
Rebuildables are an option but as the product is efectly illegal using it outside the secrecy of your own home would be risky, If their that determined to wipe vaping out then they will start putting pressure to procsicute people using unapproved devices as it might be anything in them things.
Not going to happen anyway, they have missed the boat on this but if it had been me tasked with eliminating vaping, it would be done and dusted now. Good thing politicians are always behind the curve on things and incompetent to boot.

I'm inclined to compare this to the torrenting/mp3 revolution.
The technology is similarly 'out there' and being used by myriad people. The boat has been missed by the industries that have had control over the nicotine/music trade. There will be a similar, draconian attempt to claw back the golden goose with legislation and threats, but I doubt that the cat can effectively be put back in the bag.
It's another good example of the internet and education empowering people.

There will, however, be huge amounts of money spent on a campaign to instill terror in people regarding the safety of vaping. The insistence on once-only use cartos is especially cynical and will no doubt herald a gillette sensor/printer cartridge style of consumer marketing to ensure maximum profit.

Rebuildables and home mixing, the new bootleggers :)

This is very true, they are always behind the curve, too busy vote chasing. I certainly hope you are right and this particular horse has well and truly bolted.

There will be some posturing though as they will try and give the impression that they are in control of this and oh yeah....how many lives they saved by making this alternative available....wait for it, I can just some see some smug over-fed gilt-pensioned has been trying to take claim for introducing them :D

Just ordered 50ml of Bread of Heaven from The Druid's Brew. Decided to treat myself.

Today I ordered a mother frackin ATOMIC RDA by Shmovapes

Rip Tippers Review of the Atomic RDA

Got it based on the fact I've heard great things about it's baby brother 'THE REACTOR 2' and the fact that Rip Trippers goes on and on about this. The air control options, the fact you can put any type of coil known to man in it, the flavour is the best.

I can no wait till this puppy arrives! Dragon coil and dual tricro coils on the way.

Looks great, I'd love one but think I can hold out until FT bring out the inevitable clone:)

Dual tricro coils, now there's an idea...

A Kuwako from ecirette. Looking forward to having a lump of rubber to put over my battery so it will be heavier or something.
When I saw it, it looked kinda cool but now I think about it... Is this what my life has become?

Is that the pipe looking thingy that fits over an ego battery? Does it have any function apart from looks?

And don't worry...we've all had odd urges ;)
