They're sending this link around on opentuition. Supposedly if your default you're a finalist and your default group says ACCA then you passed. There are some other groups like ACCA_students and ACCA_qualification_student

They're all gone nuts on that forum. They're reading into every little detail as if it's a sign that they passed or not

    Mine says ACCA_qualification_student
I did my final exam in dec, what are they saying this means ?

So unlucky, I know the feeling...

Folks who did P1, can it be done by self-study as I think it's mostly theory, Am I right in saying that?

Also who do you think is good for P2? I studied F7 in Griffith and think Reg callanan wasn't too bad...Also they record the lectures...so even If you miss them, you can catch them later...

P1 you could alright and p2 Liam doran independent colleges if you can't pass with him you'll never get it

56 in p6,third attempt after one short the last time...fuking delighted but its a strange feeling. How do i fill the void of no study and Having actual holidays I can use as holidays. Congrats to all and keep the head up if not gone your way,it will happen sooner rather than later.

p1 is a strange subject. When I did it I felt as though you could have studied for months and failed and gone in with no study and passed

Definitely doable by home study. All theory and qn practice

It's my first time sitting an ACCA exam having switched from ACA so I'm not sure what to expect. I only sat P2 but I made a balls of it. I knew inside in the exam it wasn't going well.

Even though I'm pretty sure I failed I'm still holding out hope of seeing 50%.

I've opted to receive my results via text based on people's past experience how early or late do you tend to get that reply?

I usually opt to get my results by text as well. You should have gotten them just after midnight today, so I hope you got good news?

    I got word that I passed F5 and F6, so that's 2 F modules left :)

If I may ask, how do you find the switch from ACA to ACCA? I always thought they were pretty much the same, but from what I understand ACA has a different module structure.

    Agree.

I was engrossed with p2 and only looked at p1, 5 week s before exams.

I just did past papers. There was an on line acca tutorial that gave a list if questions to know inside out.

I scraped by at 51. I did think I did better but it's a bit like audit in that you really have to get the point across without waffle

    60% in F8 WOOHOOO!!!!!!

I broke my collarbone 6 weeks before the exam, every word was sore for the last hour so could hardly concentrate on what i was writing. Delighted.

Hey guys, looking for a small bit of friendly advice here.

I went down in P7,got 44. This is after second attempt, got 43 last time. I waas thinking of switching to P4 or P5. Was just looking for peoples opinions on the subjects. I only really know people who have sat P6 & P7. I work in practice.

    Congrats to all who passed.

    P2 51%

Over the moon, really thought that I would fail.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

Added up my paper 10 times and thought I would be a comfortable pass.

Ended up getting 50% in p5 more relief that anything else. Right on the line. EKK

Failed P2 - I wasnt well enough prepared going into the exam and didn't know enough to answer all the questions on th day.

So will have to re-sit it and make sure I work hard.

Did it with Reg Callanan in Griffith previously, may look into this Liam Doran guy.

Well done to eveyone who passed.

cheers Bull. Got 61% in P2 so I'm happy out. congrats on your results..

ACA is very different in that most of the exams are open book plus you have an extra 35mins inside the exam. Personally I think the technical material in ACCA is more difficult and detailed than ACA. But sitting FAE's sounds like torture, it's very much all or nothing. plus there held once a year.
