I'd say Januzaj is certain to start this weekend, I'd hold out before moving him out, he has a far better chance of scoring points than Zaha this week at least. If I still had Januzaj I'd certainly have him in my 11 for the upcoming game.

Had to get rid. Started him last week, didn't feature, Lallana came of bench with 10. Week before, started him, played the last minute preventing Lallana coming off bench with I think 11.

Out of all my mid feilders he was the least performing since Mata arrived, plus close to a price fall he had to go.

How are you getting on since xmas? Just curious as I regularly take point hit's. I see them as beneficial in the long run.

Have actually moved up 200k-300k places, had plummeted about 500k-600k places earlier in the season.

Went a few GWs of taking 4pt hits, one week taking an 8, was green arrow after red, after green, making up no ground at all. Losing Ramsey earlier in the season, and not getting Suarez quickly enough really did not help things.

Your midfield are all good players, but not ones that you can expect a massive FPL points haul from. When Gerrard is your most likely midfield point scorer you have a problem. No Suarez is suicide too.

I can't afford Suarez AND Van Persie, and I just think the latter will score more points between now and the end of the season

I agree with this. Selecting the popular and cheaper differential every time: Willian instead of Hazard, Navas instead of Yaya, Paulinho instead of Eriksen, Kos instead of Mert, Azpil instead of Terry, Sturridge instead of Suarez, Dzeko instead of Negredo....

Also no Coleman or Baines, either of which I feel is pretty essential. Is the plan to downgrade RVP when Aguero is back?

I like a few differentials but there's a few players who score really well in this game that you're missing. I'd like to see a couple of those little blue dream team stars next to your players.

You could easily see a couple of your above differentials outscore their more expensive counterparts, definitely! But I wouldn't want to gamble on all of them doing it as you might find that the other players will score even more and have higher ownerships, leaving you with a harder task in order to climb the table.

You could afford Suarez if you downgrade Gerrard (Lallana?) and cheapened up that defence a bit. Can't understand why you'd have Skrtel instead of Flanagan

Some really good food for thought there - thanks for that, given me a couple of dilemma's :D

How can you say he is certain to start this weekend? He has played 6 minutes since Mata came where as Young has started the last 2 and scored a goal. With Rooney and RVP trying to get back to match fitness I said chances are high that Januzai will be on the bench again.

What are your thoughts on dropping Januzaj for Zaha for a 4 point hit?

    What's your current team?

Janujaz despite having great potential is not an FF player to consider this year IMO.
There are so many issues with him which would mean I would never consider him.
1 He is not a guaranteed starter
2 The fact he plays for Utd you will always want to play him even though he is supposed to be your 5th cheap mid. A lot of games he will only get you 1 pt as he will be subbed off early or subbed on late. You will invariably leave points on the bench.
3 He plays for a team that has huge competition for the position he plays. With mata now signed.RVP, mata and rooney will play every week. This leaves janujaz up against 5/6 other internationals for the one attacking place left in the team.
4 Bar his 2 goals against sunderland when nobody would have had him he has actually done little or nothing of note in FF terms since.
He could well start this weekend and score well but he isn't a good FF option. In a season or two Id Imagine he will be an essential FF player and man utd player.

I'm starting to see that now about Januzaj but would it make sense to take a hit to drop him this week or just wait till next week?

Starting at the top, do your keepers rotate? IE do they have alternating home fixtures each?
Your defence is fine, except as already pointed out Skrtel is probably not great value for money amongst Pool defenders and the team cannot buy a clean sheet away from home all season (they are 3rd highest in goals conceded away from home). In general you are better off taking your attacking players from attack-minded teams and your defensive players from defensive teams, sounds obvious I know but is often over-looked. I'm a pool fan but wouldn't have one of their defenders in my team until Sakho is back, if at all.

Re your midfield -As already stated the players you have chosen all have more effective and higher scoring team-mates, some have better value team mates also, eg Gerrard is now playing deeper in midfield and the likes of Sterling & Coutinho are more likely to score and cheaper aleternatives.
Willian & Paulinho, whilst being exotically plumaged Brazilian birds, are not gonna feather your fantasy nest on a consistent basis. Sometimes you need a few steady Eddie's - there is no reason to discount the likes of Lallana Hazard or Toure from keeping up their scoring rate. They are seasoned players in the prime of their careers with great team-mates and experience in the PL, dont overlook the obvious.
It seems you are looking for differentials to set your team apart, but any more than 3 differentials in a team at this stage of the season will see your team drift away from the pack, until it washes ashore on a Pacific atoll, all beardy and scurvy-battered.

Unsure whether to play boruc or Mannone this gw. Head says boruc but Mannone has been raking in the points for me the last 2 weeks. Anyone in a similar position?

Tough one to call, if you're 50-50 just go with the bookies. PP have Sou at 10/11 and Sun at 7/5 to keep a clean sheet so they favour Southampton. I'd probably lean towards Southampton too.

Id wait till next week and start him this week and then transfer him out next week no matter what happens.

I think Im going to resist the rvp transfer this week and will bring in mata instead for utd coverage. RVP is the best captain choice this week but looking at the next 4-5 gameweeks I think it makes more sense for me to bring in mata. With rvp Id be using up my 2 ft's whereas mata is 1 transfer and means I can carry over my transfer for when we know whats happening in gw 29. Im doubling up on liverpool attackers but when you consider almost everyone has suarez it means Im going with sturridge over rvp which gives me 4 million to spend on the rest of my team. I can now get in baines next week ahead of his 3 favourable home games in the next 5.

Is there a reason people are picking Sunderland over Soton?

I'm playing either Yoshida or Brown. Maybe I rate Hull too much, but I think with both Long and Jelavic up front they're going to score.

Anyone got any news on Evans? Chambers highly doubtful according to BBC team news.

It'll probably be Vidic and Smalling this weekend. If there's even a chance that Evans could further injure himself then he won't play. Jones got a minor concussion against Stoke so he will more than likely be rested as well.

Evans being out would make me feel better about my points hit. I read somewhere that United are not allowed play Jones for one game following a concussion, hadn't been aware of any such rule before that.

It's pretty minor as far as I know, and according to Moyes he was given the all clear that day when he went for a scan. Even if he was allowed to play, I don't think he will unless they're really stuck.

Dzeko has had an ankle problem all week.

i was going to double up on him and Negredo. glad i held off now; may go Giroud as I've no Arsenal cover.

    Currently going with

    Boruc (Davis)
Bardsley - Zaba - Ward (Kosc, Hudson)
Mirallas - Silva - Hazard - Ozil (Ki)
    Giroud - Suarez - JRod

Have 1FT and 2.6m in the bank was considering doing Hudson>Chelsea defender but then I would have to drop Ward at home which looks solid or one of Silva, Ozil, Mirallas which I don't fancy either! If I didn't have Davis I would do Ozil>Lallana but obviously thats not an option. Is it best to just bank it so ahead of the blank or can you think of something better to do!
