“Not only him, you have to add Aguero, Nasri and Javi Garcia – Milner was not 100% so he couldn’t start, Alvaro Negredo wasn’t 100% either.

I'm not sure whether I'll make a transfer this week. An eye needs to be kept on Johnny Evans' fitness especially with Vidic back. Would be a shame not to have him for the Fulham game.

Other than that it's whether I bring Dzeko in for Ade this week or wait until the midweek game. Norwich won't roll over quite as much at home although I'd fancy Dzeko to get the goals in that game rather than anyone else. It's just a pity Bradley Johnson got his ban overturned as I see him giving away numerous free-kicks and maybe even penalties for Yaya

Thanks guys. I'll probably still keep him mind, unless there's any further update before Saturday.

Would you say getting Azpi tonight (due to rise in price) would be worth it given the question mark hanging over Negredo? I'm leaning towards waiting til Friday, even though its very likely to still be the transfer I make. However, even if Negredo's a doubt, I'm not sure Dzeko and/or Jovetic will comprehensively outscore him over the next three games (and I don't plan on chopping and changing between them), so I'll probably end up keeping him. Which brings me back to my dilemma, should I bring in Azpi tonight?

It looks like Negredo will go up in price tomorrow if that matters at all. I'm personally getting rid of him for van Persie since the Man City striker situation is far from certain.

City's next three fixtures are hard to ignore though.

They are hard to ignore, but with the blank Gameweek and the big uncertainty over the minutes any striker may get I'm going to stick to my guns and only have Silva until we know the makeup of GW29, in case City end up with a double blank week.

Happy enough with Benteke, Van Persie and Suarez till Aguero comes back in, and happy enough with my current defensive cover of Arsenal, Sunderland (for now), Southampton, Chelsea and Everton (from next week) so gonna hope City take it easy from now till Barca time!

The blank week(s) are why I don't think I'll be bringing in Dzeko or Jovetic, but with these games it would be crazy to get rid of Negredo. Truth is they'll all probably share the points around so no one player is a must-have. But that could all change if Negredo is ruled out.

Edit: I've convinced myself to do Azpi tonight. It's a guaranteed clean sheet, isn't it?

Preparing to take a 4 point hit this week to get rid of Januzaj and Adebayor which will leave me with 13.8 in the bank, any suggestions??

Currently have Rooney & Suarez up front with Toure, Lallana, Johnson and Puncheon in Midfield. Thinking of Dzeko but have 2 City players already and don't like overloading with 3 from the 1 team!

I think people are being quick to dismiss Ade... I', keeping him till the Everton game to see hat he can do.

    You've had other transfer priorities...admit it :D

I have him too, but I think I'd have gotten rid if transfers weren't used elsewhere.
That said, I've held on to worse players, there is a bit of hope with Ade.

I actually think the Laudrup sacking may have a positive impact on Spurs/Ade.
After a gun-ho start, Sherwood seems to have changed his team around a bit to be more defensive... If ML's name looks to be in the mix for that job during the summer, Sherwood just might throw caution to the wind again to impress.

(It's truly amazing what stories I can convince myself of when it comes to one of my players performing well)

Janujaz to zaha a good move?

    I think so.

Zaha will play almost every game and made a massive difference to Cardiff when he came on last weekend.

Januzaj won't play as often now that Mata is in the team.

That's what I was thinking and it looks like januzaj will drop in price tonight.

At least I'm remembered for something! :pac:

In all seriousness though he could be a cheap way into City midfield. Silva hasn't exactly been performing as of late..

Silva's gonna have a stormer this weekend...just like the rest of my team. :o

I actually think Silva offers more points potential with Aguero out of the team, he was unlucky against Chelsea, plays a lot more advanced without the main man.

Not in FF terms, but he's been one of city's best players! wouldn't be surprised to see him rack up some big scores soon, not that you'd want to pin your hopes on that though :pac:

A bit behind thinking of a major gamble subbing Rooney for Suarez (can't afford RVP by .1) and putting him captain or save my sub for next week and put Mata as captain. Forward line of Giroud, Suarez, and Rodriguez have .7 in the bank.

Suarez is a must have long-term but this might be a week where you'd keep Rooney and wait a week before bringing in Suarez.

Am I right in saying the you are thinking of transferring Suarez out and bringing Rooney in?

If you only have 0.7 in the bank at present, then that more than likely means you won't be able to afford Suarez back into your team.... you more than likely have 0.7 tied into Suarez (ie Bought him at 12.0 or less)

Thanks bought Suarez for 12.8(that's why I am a bit behind) so if I transferred him out would be able to afford him, might hold on and make Mata captain and carry over my transfers. Another option Djeko for Giroud and gamble on him as captain, I'm 113 points of the money in my league is it too early to start gambling?
Only my first real season playing this, tis great craic and as a lifelong Man Utd fan it feels oddly strange when City, Chelsea and Liverpool players score

Oh. I misunderstood. Don't transfer Suarez out under any circumstances!!! Even if he has to get a leg amputated.

It's too late to start taking it seriously :D
Only messing, I'm not exactly doing great myself.

If you're thinking about getting Suarez back then I think you'd be daft to do that transfer tbh. I would have no confidence that Rooney would outscore Suarez this weekend anyway, and you're losing cash (only 0.3 but still) and if you're bringing him back in then think of it as 2 transfers required.... Keep them making changes to your team for the double game weeks coming up.

If you're looking for something different, maybe you could consider Suarez to Sturridge and that might help you bring in RVP for Giroud or something like that.

I'd agree with this mostly. 113 is tough but not impossible. I would hold onto Suarez, Yaya and Hazard minimum, as you don't want to lose out on those points when they score for your rivals. It's the other players that are your differentials.

If you really want to gamble, what I'd do is double up on a defense. I would say after this weekend Everton, Southampton, City and Chelsea all look ok for this strategy. I'd go Everton personally for their upcoming home games.

On captain choice I would still captain Suarez as much as possible. When he has a tough game, that's when to switch, this weekend is a good example as it's a tough opponent and it's an early kick-off (though I'm still captaining him). But you're not going to gain if you choose an alternative captain every single week. Captain him 3 out of every 4 games.

First 4 point hit since xmas/new year.

    Januzaj to Zaha.
    Adebayor to Sturridge.

Very tempted to give Sturridge the Captaincy as well from Suarez.

I'd say Januzaj is certain to start this weekend, I'd hold out before moving him out, he has a far better chance of scoring points than Zaha this week at least. If I still had Januzaj I'd certainly have him in my 11 for the upcoming game.

Is Ozil ti Lallana worth a 4 pt hit ? Would welcome any opinions

How are you getting on since xmas? Just curious as I regularly take point hit's. I see them as beneficial in the long run.

I'll admit I've had, but I don't want tog et rid of him quite yet, especially seeing as how I haven't benefitted from his points hauls prior to the City game as I didn't have him then ( had J Rod then I think lol)
