Just wondering, used my one sub this week like last Saturday/Sunday and my luck it was Cabaye, is it tough luck for me and that sub is gone bye bye along with the player?

Yes, it's lost, unfortunately. That's why they give you a wildcard for January. If you still have it and activate it before todays match deadline you won't lose any points on any transfers.

You're waiting to see if the £40,000,000 signing is going to start..

If he doesn't start then I'll.... Well, I can't think of anything witty :o

So I'm getting rid of Coleman

Who's the best replacement - Kolarov, Terry, Ivanovic or Azpilicueta?

That's a good point some people might not realize, you can change your team up until 7:30 tonight so by then you'll have all the team sheets to do some last minute panicking moving.

Annoys me how you have up to 7.30pm on midweek gameweeks but it's 11.30 on Saturdays, 1 hour 15 minutes before the 12.45 kick off and usually 20 minutes before team sheets are released

Mr.Prodston, what's the lowdown on Ryan Bennett. Obviously last week's 15 pointer was an absolute freak, but I'm looking for a cheap defender to replace Chester, and Norwich seem to rotate well when I need a possible 2 pointer.

He won't be a starter for me, but is he likely to become a regular fixture in the Norwich team? Seems to come in and out of the team at the moment. Is he covering for other injuries or has he been missing due to injuries?

Holding on to a injuried Coleman and Chester. Chester not droping, cant see Coleman being out for more than one FW. Saving a transfer for next week, which will hopefully includ Ramsey, waiting to see what happens tonight first.

Are you seriously asking Mr P if Bennett will keep a fully fit Micky T on the bench:eek:

Already took a 4 point hit to sort out my injury ravaged defence. Now I face the prospect of having Collback in my midfield as Cabaye is heading to PSG so that rules him out of the Norwich game.I can afford Mata,so should I risk another hit or wait?

As said above he is covering Micky T at the moment.. I'm sure Micky T was dropped earlier this season at one point though, so who knows..

I think this week of all weeks, Mata is worth a 4 point hit ahead of someone who isn't playing.

Problem is,I already took a hit.But it'll be gnawing at me all evening if I don't & he runs riot.In work this evening so transfers & team will need to be done earlier than I like.

The other hit isn't entirely relevant to this though because it has already happened and can't be changed, if Mata scores 4 or more above the likely 1 point Colback will get, it is a good decision, possibly even if he scored less than that given you've gotten rid of Cabaye long-term too saving yourself a transfer in future weeks. That is difficult to quantify in points though.

Done,Cabaye out & Mata in.I'll be listening intently to Newstalk tonight as it'll be my only access to updates.

Would you not be better off waiting to see if you could find out whether Mata starts first? I understand you've only radio but theres a good chance you could have got it there before 7:30 deadline

had planned on making no transfer this week but am now debating getting in mata.
My only slight worry with mata is if him, fellani, rvp and rooney all start tonight thats 4 players starting that have had little or no gametime in the last 4/5 weeks.

I'll do my best to remove bias here. Ryan Bennett will play while Turner is out unless Hughton swoops for a CB between now and Friday. I heard Scott Dann's name being mentioned so Lemlin may know more about Blackburn players but Hughton rejected that talk yesterday I think.

On to Bennett himself. He's been covering injuries and suspensions and been dropped like a hot cake as soon as a viable option returns. It's not clear how long Turner is out but it'll be a number of weeks anyway so you may have to make a transfer in a month. Bennett won't be 1st choice this season, unless he puts in super performances in the next while and even then I wouldn't be confident. In my opinion he can be quite rash at times but in the short term you could pick him up and move to Turner or Ollson for a little extra when Turner comes back. With Alex Tettey back I see Norwich tightening up, he's been a loss in midfield. So yeah I wouldn't dissuade you from Norwich's defence but just to be aware that if you go for Bennett he's only covering injuries etc

Turner was injured for the 2 games he didn't play against Palace and Liverpool. He picked up the injury in training after the press conference so no news sources had info until the pre and post match interviews. He came straight back in which is telling in and of itself

Palace actually had a fee of 4 mil agreed for Dann. He couldn't agree terms though. Blackburn signed him for a large fee in the PL days so he is on large wages.

The rumour is Norwich have only offered 2 million, half the Palace agreed figure.

Blackburn will let him go if Norwich up their offer.

Won't have internet access later,I doubt a man who's desperate for games and cost £37 million will be sitting on the bench especially considering the alternatives in the current United team.

I also doubt this. If I had internet access I'd be waiting just incase though.

Have just enough to do Coleman to Ryan Bennett and Lallana to Mata. Really tempted.

    Would leave me with:

    Sagna Ward Bennett
    Hazard Silva Ozil Mata
    Aguero Giroud Suarez

Somebody talk me out of it!

Ur MID and FWD team seems very expensive..defence looks feeble.would love to have this team for the rest of the year..can you name the entire squad.???

    Mannone Marshall
    Sagna Ward Shaw Chester Coleman
    Silva Hazard Ozil Lallana Colback
    Aguero Suarez Giroud

Defence would be a bit weak if selling Coleman but could do Ozil to Ramsey to free up funds in a week or two to upgrade one of the cheapies again possibly to a City or United defender for the double GW.

Ramsey and Adebayor. Only thing dodgy is Arsenal's fixtures but if I remember correctly he has scored well enough against decent teams this season.

Yellow flag off Silva now. Looks like he's safe from a drop.
