    Here we go again...

Legislation deeming the mother as the primary carer of the child was around long before feminism, let alone radical feminism.

    Must there be lies?

While it did originate in legislation in traditional. Are you seriously denying that radical feminism hasn't been an influence on the continuation and worsening of these laws? Jesus all you have to do is look at the US.

I blame things like Feminist Studies, how the feck is that a valid university course. A degree in what exactly, no, don't tell me, I think I've had as much bull sh't as I can take for one night. So sex is always rape/oppression and if we enjoy it there's something wrong with us. I'm picturing the teacher from South Park saying 'sex is baaaad, erm Ok, stay away from sex'

All you have to do to lose your house and your kids is get someone to march down and get a restraining order. You do not need proof, you just need to swear under oath and tell a pack of lies about your enemy and boom.

Also nigh impossible to vacate. It is one of the most pernicious muscles of an unjust and politically correct motivated court and judge, especially in a liberal jurisdiction.

Seriously though, theres something not quite right with that woman.
Have a read of her blog, its batsh1t crazy.

So this so-called sexual arousal isn’t about pleasure at all and was never intended to be: it’s about power-over and domination, it’s a way for men to obtain obedience.

Isn't is awful that we've been so oppressed and didn't realise it, I just thought I enjoyed sex. Just as well she's there to inform us that we're being oppressed:D

Yeah cause women can't enjoy being dominated in bed or doing a little domination of our own. There's a lot of fellas out there paying good money to be dominated, or so I've heard

I wonder how she gets on with her folks, becuase if they hadnt riden she'd not be able to be disgusted at those who do. Why is life and the creation of it oppressive?

Also... what the heck is "piv" penis in vagina?

That's exactly what it is, penis-in-vagina sex.

You dont need to look that far to be honest. Weve plenty of nutters here. We just tend to ignore'em or curse'em under our breadths.

I figure it's either an elaborate wind-up merchant or the product of an unstable mind. Nobody is this crazy without being, well... crazy

I could use a good subjugation myself. :)

Jesus, can you imagine being her parent. I wonder if they hide when they see her coming towardst their house. Can you imagine having to listen to that sh't being spouted at you over your dinner. My father would have a heart attack if I started talking to him about my nether regions.

Just had a read of the blog post and it is very Andrea Dworkin inspired. Really man hating stuff.

Should've seen Brendan O'Connor tonight. Some lad comes on and the women in the audience start screaming and whistling non stop. I had to turn it off. Imagine if men did that to a female guest!

Assuming it's not just seeking notoriety at any cost, I think it's the ramblings of a mad person. There is no justification, no reasoning, no cultural or societal advantage to adopting the position she advocates, not for men or women. It's just bonkers and blindly so.

To be honest, this stuff is to feminism what the Westboro Baptist Church is to religion - not that I'm religious, it's just the best comparison I could come up with. A feminist analysis has a lot to offer and there are a lot of different schools of thought within it - but this stuff is off the wall, up there with that article in the New Statesman calling people who grew a mustasche for movember racists, and only really serves to damage feminism for those who aren't exposed to it frequently enough to know it doesn't represent the mainstream discourse - which is the most unfortunate aspect.

I have come across many college professors in the US who spout this ****. Anyone who denies this is a significant streak in modern feminism is either blind or just doesn't want to see it.

They dont want to see it because they have been brainwashed to think that I'm a good person, therefore I believe in womens rights, and that somehow the two are connected. So they can't make the cognitive dissonence work for them between this puritanical bile and their own beliefs about feminism, because they can't be brutally honest with themselves about it.

It reads like... Stalinist manifesto or something. The language is so much about organising people into groups: colonised women #2 etc.

If it were to catch on (which it won't) it would be pretty frightening.

The comments policy is fun too, but unsurprising.

It reads a bit like something Andrea Dworkin might write in one of her less coherent publications, but even she doesn't quite go as far as the OP's article and that's saying something!

I can't say I have, and I'm not blind or unwilling. Not this level of malevolent anti sex rhetoric, and while there is a political advantage in the leftwing liberal elite colleges with aligning yourself with broadly feminist thinking - the antifeminist stance being career suicide - this sort of hate speech would be met with intolerance. It's not funding friendly, apart from anything else.
