    My band's playing at a Rory Gallagher Re-worked night next week. Basically, there are five bands playing three songs each, but the trick is that it's not just to do a cover of the songs, but to rework them to your own style... so we found out about it about two weeks before Christmas but we had a couple of gigs in between and obviously we didn't rehearse for about a week and a half over the holidays, and should have started trying to figure out what the hell to do with the tunes last week, but we had an unexpected gig last Thursday, so had to just rehearse our own stuff and really only got round to the RG stuff this week... jammed on Tuesday and was not very happy, but jammed again last night and I'm pretty pleased with the progress we've made now. All about fine tuning the songs now for the next week....

    I decided last night it is now my life long dream to learn the theremin. There was one in a show I was watching, so great.

    Gonna look now for an album of theremin music, so soothing.
