Just under 116m after playing the WC.
Lost a few 0.1s on Negredo, Sterling and Ozil but the plan was to get Aguero in when fit.
Still stuck at 56k overall but I'm hoping that having most of the dream team means I can push on for the second half of the season.

Very nice - have you been focusing specifically on having an expensive team for the second half of the season, or a happy coincidence? I'm a bit ahead of you in 27k but team value post-WC of only £112m. In fairness though that's without having Ramsey or Yaya during their meteoric rises... they account for £3m+ between them!

You have an embarrassment of riches. Your fifth choice bench fodder midfielder is Cabaye ffs! We have similar starting 11, but your wealth allows you to have Terry over my Sagna and Sturridge over my Lukaku. Barring bad luck you should cruise up the rankings.

God I hate playing wildcard. Have had so many permutations this week.

Rest of the year who scores more: Oscar or Lallana?

Who's the best midfielder under 6m from now?

    Rotate keepers or have one?

I'm so so so far from having my final WC team

    1. Oscar definitely

    2. Januzaj has certainly got the most potential for points

    3. I'd hate to have a non playing goalie, they all have weeks when you know they won't keep clean sheets

Same its so bloody hard! I'm glad I have my other WC still so that if I mess this one up I can fix it with the other one!!

I would go Lallana due to more game time and should prove better value. Given the same amount of minutes I would say Oscar would edge it though so depends how much you think Oscar will play.

5m-6m is a bit of a wasteland. Despite Janu being Uniteds only midfielder who can do much going forward I still don't think his gametime is locked in yet. I quite like the look of Ki he is playing nice and advanced and with a striker who has a good goalscoring record and he is dirt cheap!

I prefer to have rotators but for now I am going with Boruc and Davis but mainly because I am only really looking at the next 4-5 GWs and not the rest of the season. The potential Man City back to back blank means its impossible to look too far ahead if you have the other WC knocking around still.

wildcard played - sitting on just over 1300pts.

    Team now is:

    Szczesny (Davis)

    Bardsley Koscielny Coleman Lovern Faye

    Wilshire Eriksen Yaya Hazard Mutch

    Aguero Suarez Adebayor.

Unfortunately I had to drop Silva in order to get Aguero in. He bloody better bang them in sharpish.

had Coleman from near enough the start but thinking of taking him out with the wildcard, i must be going mad but just frees up so much for me.

My Wildcard wildcard option is going to be Andy Carroll!!
West Ham have a great run of home games and he alternates well with Januzaj.
Signing up Carroll lets me have Suarez and Aguero up front!
Could backfire but worth a shot i reckon?!?! Thoughts.........

Focused on it but not ridiculously so by making hundreds of transfers. I play the same tactics every year and usually finish in the top 20k, winning most of my private leagues.

    Boruc --- McGregor

    Terry -- Gabby -- Coleman -- Turner -- Chester

    Ozil -- Hazard -- Silva -- Erikson -- Livermore

    Suarez --- Aguero --- Giroud

When Rooney gets fit I will get Ramsey in for Ozil & upgrade Giroud. It's a bonus that Arsenal fixtures are good for the next 2-3 weeks.

Had to do a bit of clipping from my defence to afford Silva but a lot happier with him instead of Lallana.

    Thoughts?

I've heard that mentioned elsewhere, Mirallas will be hanging around the advertising hoardings.
I really cannot see what Martinez reasoning is with McGeady but I would be shocked if it's a success, how does he fit in. I've been to a few Ireland games in the last few years and McGeady has never failed to disappoint. His final ball can be dreadful and he's far too lightweight for premier league football(my opinion of course)

I wouldn't bank on Mirallas but I think McGeady could surprise people and learn to hone his game. Martinez is a good manager, he knows what he's doing.

Jan wildcard any thoughts on how to upgrade my keepers? Taking a punt on Long so I can have Aguero and Suarez up front..

Still a bit of my team. Still hoping for another rise of Sturridge just to get a 0.1 profit. Got in Whilshire last night as was rising, wonder will he get the profit, although will probably hold on to him as Ramsey shoing no increase yet and red flagged.

Basically the plan to make profits this week is not quite working so far as still a little short on final ideal team.

Can you please post a screenshot or a link to your team so that I can see your transfers. Want to find out how someone can have a team value like yours but remain very competitive
    Cheers

Made my last WC transfers, happy as I can be though I didn't make any money after having about 7 players go up 0.1

Probably wasn't the right week to do it but man am I glad it's over.

Same here. I wildcarded on Monday and have tried to catch rises on Gerrard, Giroud, Sturridge, Kolarov, Wilshere. None of them will rise 0.2 it seems.

I have dodged a couple of falls though, and I got Aguero & Chester before their rises and will keep Sturridge until Rooney returns.

I'm not sure about rises for Hazard/Suarez etc. as they are season keepers. I had Williamson already.

If it's any consolation the potential to make profits last week were pretty non existent too. Too much spread on player choices really.

    Can't upload pic.

    Be grateful for any imput

    Lloris Mannone

    Luis Sagna Coleman Kolarov Whittaker

Hazard Eriksen Ki-Sung Yeung Sterling Huddlestone

    Negredo Giroud Suarez

I got aguero in yesterday to catch the rise.

Am I the only one considering getting negredo in should aguero rise again tonight and then getting aguero back in next gameweek?

I'll lose .1 but think negredo has a much higher chance of playing 90 mins and hopefully getting more points.

I'm holding onto Negredo until after the Cardiff game. Probably will buy Aguero in tomorrow or early this week.

I feel like Aguero will get one tomorrow, but so will Negredo, and I'd need a -4 hit to get him, so for that difference, I'm just gonna wait till next week.

    This is my wildcard team.

I'm taking a chance on Adrian as he rotates well with mannone, If he doesn't play I'm happy with Mannone for the next 4 weeks anyway so have time to get someone else in (probably Boruc) by downgrading Ozil after Crystal Palace game.

Anyone saving their WC til next GW? After looking at everyones WC teams today I'm feeling the pressure to do mine!

My main reason to use my WC would be to get Aguero in and to chance my GKs

Doesn't sound like you need it this week if you only want two new players. I'm gonna wait till the last available week for the same reasons, by then we'll see a few new players in the league and we'll know more about likely lineups for the remainder of the season.

I actually think if I wildcarded I'd only make two or three transfers this week.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

Still not 100% if I'll use it this week or not..if I did play it now the team would be

    Szczesny
    Mert, Fonte, Skrtel
    Yaya, Hazard, Eriksen, Lallana
    Suarez, Welbeck, Sturridge

    Subs: Gazzaniga, Ramsey, Gabbidon, Celustka.

    Any thoughts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,350 ✭✭✭G1032

120 ish points behind leader in PL
I need differentials now since most teams are very similar
How does team look? It'll be WC team next week or the week after. It involves selling Coleman, Szcz and Mert but I get Baines in. He's a bonus point magnet. Huge money at 7.4m but possibly worth it
    Feedback appreciated
