Zak is Cain's real father not Shadrach

Belle is Lisa and Zak's daughter

Imagine Charity's face if Rachel left Archie to Jai :p

Yes and Jai finds out he is not on the birth cert and cant get access so takes it out on Ali who gets sacked, she tells Megan it was Declan who set the fire, not sure after that

did zak have an affair at the time

so chaz & cain are cousins but they still act they are ?

so sam & cain & butch are all brothers & bell is his daughter

and chaz & charity are cousins

 my head hurts lol :pac:

Chas and Cain have the same mother so they are half brother and sister

Cain and Zak only discovered the truth about Cain's parentage when Cain first arrived in Emmerdale

You may hurt yourself trying to figure it all out... lol

Don't forget that Marlon is also a cousin.
I believe Zak had an affair with Shadrack's missus and Cain was born - they all only found out about 10 years ago, so Cain thought Shadrack was his dad and Chas was his sister, then found out Zak was his dad and Sam and Butch were his brothers. Think Belle came along shortly after that (she is Zak and Lisa's, although I remember it being a ridiculous story like Lisa didn't even realise she was pregnant until she went into labour).
Cain and Charity were kissing cousins back in the day, had a roll in the hay and Debbie was born.

If I remember correctly charity and Cain were supposed to marry, but she changed her mind and ran off at the last minute. In true soap style

im finding it hard to believe that Rachel would give up her baby and take the fall for sam

but she hardly going to go on the run with the baby

knowing charity shell want to raise and adopt the baby

I can see her doing this

step mum to archie & jay step dad to noah

When the Dingles first arrived in the show, Zak was married to Nellie and they had 5 children, Nathan (who lived in London & nobody spoke to) Ben, Butch, Sam and Tina. I think that Ben died in a bare-knuckle fight soon after the family arrived. Butch died in a bus crash some years later. Tina was a bit of a minx and troublemaker but I can't remember how she left but it's odd that she doesn't even get mentioned now. Zak discovered Cain was his son some years back, a result of him having had an affair with Cain & Chas's mother. Belle was born in the pig pen as Lisa hadn't know she was pregnant and I think Paddy the vet may even have delivered her but I could be wrong.

It's not clear how closely related Charity and Cain are, to my recollection, her parents (Obadiah is her father's name) have never appeared in the show but an online Dingle Family tree suggests she's not a direct first cousin of Cain's, more a daughter of Zak's cousin, whatever relation that is! Hard to keep up with them!

Emmerdale has been very enjoyable of late but this "charity confession" is silly. The whole "rachel and her family are too stupid " line is very annoying also. All they have to do is go to the police and the dingles and tell them the truth of what charity admitted. They would surely coax the truth out of her between them.

Im rather disappointed how this story has developed, had good potential.

Yes I agree. Its very stupid.

The idea that Rachel would just simply get bail after "confessing" to the crime is daft. The idea that she would abandon her son and sacrifice her life with him even for Sam is daft. The idea that she wouldn't tell anyone of her family about what was going on and just be browbeaten by Charity is daft.

Who had most to gain if Home Farm burned down ? Declan.

Who just happens to have gone broke in recently, been publicly humiliated and lost all his business, his marriage and been forced to sell all his properties in the village ? Declan.

And yet everyone, police included seem to accept without question his story about where he was Christmas Day despite the fact that his only alibi seems to be his new "girlfriend" who is hardly an independent and impartial witness.

I'm sick of David's harem already. They should give them a spin off series. Raising Jakub.

Yes the Rachel storyline is a silly one. So she set the fire, but is not seen on any of the CCTV? How will she explain that one?

in soap land police don't care as long as they get someone for the crime

I hope Cain gets his hands on Declan's insurance money payout (if they payout on the fire)

I cant believe that Ali did not batter Charity in last nights episode. She is all gob but nothing to back it up with.

Why didn't she use the gob to tell the cops and Jai the truth

Can someone explain this to me:

The cop said: "Rachel <blah> I am arresting you on suspicion of arson".

Five minutes later Rachel is in the car park with Charity.

    Did I miss something?!?

That storyline had more holes than a colander :D. Okay, I don't know what would happen in a real scenario, but... Sam was released the minute Rachel 'confessed'. It didn't even seem, to me, that the police believed her. Declan describing to her how 'she' set the fire was cringeworthy, in my opinion. Then she is given an opportunity to run away, and does exactly that.
I know they were writing her out, but that was as poor a storyline as I have ever seen.

Declan seems to have genuinely fallen for Charity's "charms" and what a lame exit for Rachel who used to be feisty and hard when she first arrived, didn't she go to batter Sam over Samson and Emilia fighting

Plotholes aside, I felt really sad for Rachel when she was leaving, loved seeing Charity back at her most evil, and got a great giggle at the scene where Sam was released and he thought Cain had sent someone to help him break out.

Nearly as bad as Gennie getting in her car and driving out of Emmerdale to her death!

Loving Charity at the minute. Can't wait to see Jai's reaction to Rachel doing a bunk. He was so sure he was going to get the baby.

This charity belittling of rachel is effectively pantomine and ridiculous. Do they have to add on to her EVERY line to Rachel a pun or anecdote portraying how stupid rachel is meant to be.

She never came across simple, in fact she is a lot more sophisticated than the Dingles who interbreed, have no education and act as prostitutes and criminals.

Why is charity seemingly so intelligent, according to hersel, so suddenly.

It annoys me how Declan refers to her as "Rachel, the cleaner". Why doesn't he call Charity, "Charity, the ex-prostitute" then, for example?

I like Brenda's newly grown back hair. :)

If they all keep going on and on about how bad Rachel was setting the fire and then skipping bail and breaking Sam's heart, I can't imagine Ali keeping her mouth shut and not telling someone the truth.

It seemed to me that the police didn't believe Rachel until she had the detail about where the jumper was hidden. The lady officer said "it was on the back of the door" and Rachel said it was under the floorboards and that seemed to be crucial. They began to take her seriously after that. Still they let her out on bail in 5 mins.

Sad to see Rachel and Archie go that way. As was said above, its every bit as stupid as Gennie's exit.

Noah must be home alone, what with Charity and Jai out and about all evening and he at home texting Jayyyykub about homework.

Completely ridiculous storyline. I couldn't understand how Rachel was out talking to Charity either.

I'd love if Charity went down for this. She's nearly as bad as Tracey Barlow at this stage.

:D This made me laugh so much, just picturing it. I would say he wouldn't try that more than once :D.
What is to stop Ali from telling the police what she knows? I missed bits and pieces this week, but got general gist of what went on.

There's no way she'll see that money. Why would Declan give it to her and how would he explain it to Megan and Robbie if he did?
